The Experience

We are an English family living in Corrèze in the beautiful Northern Dordogne Valley region of France. We are looking for help in our 6 hectare forest - sustainable woodland management and preparation of firewood. There will also be work in our garden and around our lake, as well as in the vegetable garden and some outdoor maintenance projects This will suit someone who loves to be outside in the country and has some relevant experience.

This was my first experience in WP and as a volunteer and I'm extremely happy with my stay. Sam and James are wonderful hosts, they're kind, funny and patient and really care about you. Sam will always try to make you feel involve with the area and the events happening around the guest house, she is also a wonderfull person and a great teacher. I arrived with them after a bittersweet experience in Europe and they thought me about kitchen, culture and about patience and most of all, they made me feel at home, thank you Sam and James for this amazing experience <3

Sam and James are devoted to their Inn and both guests' and volunteers' experiences. Sam is a superb chef and really takes care of everyone and James is a fabulous cyclist and ensures everyone is safe and having fun. It's an idyllic property in the French countryside. I couldn't ask for a better experience.

I had such a wonderful 10 day stay with Sam and James. It was my first Worldpackers experience and has set the bar very high! The room, house, property, local area were all so lovely. It's no problem to assist with the daily tasks as Sam and James (and Noodle the dog! ) make you feel so welcome and part of the family. Sam is very inspiring with the meals which were all so delicious and both have incredible knowledge to share. I feel very lucky to have had so many new experiences here and definitely recommend it!

This was my very first Worldpackers experience, and I truly couldn't have asked for anything better. James and Sam are such incredible individuals from the moment I arrived, I felt completely at home and like a part of their family. I stayed for two weeks and enjoyed every single day. Sam is an amazing cook, and I learned so much from her during my time there. The daily routine was super manageable the working hours were light and felt more like simple house chores than actual "work." What made the experience even more special was how every day brought something
