We felt very welcome and well looked after at all times. The tasks were varied and enjoyable. The conversations over dinner were very interesting and productive. Sam is an incredible chef and both of them will be happy to teach you anything they think you might be interested in. They will be delighted to take you on different excursions and you will discover some really cool places. If you go, don't forget to ask them to show you the photos of noodles when she was little 🐕.

My time in Corrèze was amazing. Sam and James were wonderful hosts and made me feel welcome from the very start. There was a real sense of being part of the house, which made the experience even more special. The place is beautiful, the work is enjoyable, and the food was delicious. I also loved the fun trips we did together and the peaceful surroundings. I'm very grateful for this experience.

My 2-week visit to Corrèze marked the finale of my first collective trip with Worldpackers, and I could not have asked for a better way to celebrate the end of this experience. Sam and James welcomed me and my friend into their beautiful home, where we joined Aritz and Ainhoa, a couple from Spain, for a special and engaging stay. The autumn foliage, surprisingly warm weather, Michelin-grade meals and desserts, and countless conversations were truly a source of great joy. I cannot thank my hosts enough for this memorable experience, and I certainly hope to return to Corrèze in the near future.

This was the most amazing experience for my first trip with world packers! I can't stress enough how awesome the hosts Sam and James are. They made me feel right at home and I learned so much from them. And their dog Noodle is the most precious animal in the entire world. The world food was amazing, the rooms are comfortable, the house and the surrounding area are stunningly beautiful, and the work is fulfilling. I couldn't have asked for a better place to volunteer. 10/10

As I had told Samantha, the guest house had not been my first option. I had no clue about many things, the least of them the guest house! But!!! Samantha and James went beyond expectations and helped me in many many ways. And, of course, that inspired me to try and help them in every way that I could. And, no joke, in this time, I have learnt many a thing. About many things, really, but most importantly, about myself. I do miss a lot of things already. Wish I coild list them all here but alas, I can only use the characters left to say: Give Noodlelina some scritches from my part, Sam!<3

Staying at Samantha and James's guesthouse was an unforgettable experience. I helped collect walnuts and mushrooms, kept the garden tidy, went hiking and the guest house through beautiful trails, and enjoyed great talks with guests. Some days even with spontaneous singing! Their warm hospitality and truly special five-star kitchen made every meal a highlight. A perfect mix of nature, community, and culinary excellence.

Unparalleled and wonderful experience. The moment I got off the train, I felt Sam's enthusiasm and friendliness! I also met very kind guests and volunteers here. Every day, I work with a heart full of gratitude. If you are a cooking or sewing enthusiast, congratulations-you can learn a lot from Sam! The work isn't difficult. And Sam & James are also generous to drive you to experience the surrounding town& villages and hiking trails during their free time. By the way, be prepared to gain weight here, because Sam's cooking skills are simply amazing! I will miss the days spent here definitely!

Volunteering with Sam and James at Corrèze the guest house was a pleasure. They're welcoming, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. The workload was reasonable and once you learn the daily rhythm, you feel part of the team, helping create a comfortable and delicious experience for guests. Free time included markets, the guest house, mushroom foraging, and trips to 'the beach' for paddle-boarding. We were even treated to a special thank-you lunch. I'm grateful for the warm welcome and hope to return next year.

This is an excellent first Worldpackers experience, I even extended my visit as I was enjoying my time here. Sam and James are kind, knowledgeable, and patient hosts. The work was fair and easy to learn, with plenty of free time to relax in nature. I loved the peaceful location, delicious food, and the new skills learned from this experience. The guests and other volunteers were lovely, and cuddles with Noodle the dog and Miriam the chicken were always a bonus. A truly memorable stay, I would recommend this to anyone.

I spent two weeks with Sam and James and had the most amazing time! The loveliest hosts you could ever hope to meet with the sweetest dog in all the world!! Such a welcoming and caring environment, an experience I couldn't recommend more highly. Amazing hosts for first time worldpackers. I learnt so many new cooking skills and ate the most amazing food. Sam is always happy to teach new skills and share recipes. If you enjoy the guest house and being outdoors James has so many routes to share and there are opportunities to go on group rides. Such an incredible experience! Would love to go back!
