The Experience
Hello from the most beautiful city in Japan: Kyoto! We are looking for cleaning staff for our Guest house :) Work is 3h/day with 2 days off/ week, and in exchange you get free accommodation and free coffee/tea from our cafe! We need responsible and tidy people who likes to clean and is interested in living in Kyoto for at least 2 weeks. If you feel you fit, and want to come over here, we will be happy to host you! I had an amazing time with the team at the hostel. It felt like home. They were very kind, easy to communicate with and very accomodating. I recommend to any other volunteers. I have left Santigao with new friends including the staff and I will be returning for a coffee when I come back through Kyoto.

Best time ever. Everyone was so kind and helpful and fun. The work itself was easy. Had lots of fun with all the staff. Great location. Great city. Would 1000% do it again.

It was such a great environment to work with others. I got lucky to stay new place my own. (Timing was good). They provide supplements with good qualities. The work hours is punctuality and reasonable work amount. I can be more hygienic and how to complete my duties in general. It's good to practice my Japanese language as well. Beautiful and nice cafe and shops around. It's really good spot to enjoy at the same time. Strongly recommend! :)

It was my 2nd time volunteering in hostel as a cleaner/helper and I am very glad I chose the hostel in Kyoto. I was warmly welcomed by the staff and had very good moments with them (izakaya, pizza party, free drinks after work) ! They were also always ready to help if I had any questions about anything. The work was simple and not too physical and sometime we would finish early. I was lucky to stay in the female dormitory in the biggest capsule I've ever had in an hostel so I felt very comfortable and the location of the hostel was perfect ! Thanksfor such a great time ! じゃあね✋
