As a first volunteering experience, this as been really fulfilling. I met awesome people, among the others volunteers, staff members, guests and regulars at the bar. Our accomodation was definitely cosy and allowed everyone to have their own space since it was never crowded. The work's difficulty depended on the position assigned but the tasks were still pretty easy and sometimes fun. Mihaela, the "volunteer's manager" was welcoming, curious, funny and caring, which made me feel safe during my trip.

My experience in this volunteer opportunity was very positive. The environment was pleasant from the start, and the shifts felt more like helping than actual work. The hostel provided groceries so we could cook, which was super helpful (the kitchen was well equipped). Mikahela, the volunteer coordinator, was kind and caring. The guests were friendly too. At the bar, some people were a bit reluctant to speak English, but with time, you connect with everyone. I'd love to repeat the experience someday.

The hostel instantly felt like home, and the people quickly became like a second family to me. The vibe is super welcoming, and I made some amazing friendships during my time here. The management is lovely—everything's well-organized, which makes things run smoothly. Zagreb is such an amazing and unique city, and with all the amazing the hostel staff, it's truly something special. I couldn't have asked for a better place for my first volunteer experience. I encourage others to make the trip here, I'll definitely be missing it :)

I just want to say that I am very sad to leave this place... working hours are fully respected, the stuff is very nice and funny, and the most important thing is that nobody screams or yells at you when you make some mistakes. I truerly recommend this hostel if you want to have fun and meet new people!

I had an amazing time at the hostel!! It is definitely less of a social hostel and more a hotel/hostel but I worked in the bar and met so many awesome people. Not too much to do in Zagreb but it's super accessible to places like Ljubliana and Graz.

My time at the hostel has been amazing and I want to thank Mihaela and Zvone for the chance they gave me. The staff is quite nice, polite and hardworking and the job is very well organized. This is one of the experiences I'd recommend the most

This was my first Worldpackers trip and it was a great experience! From the start Mihaela was super supportive and called before and kept in touch. While there all of the staff were so friendly and welcoming. I really enjoyed working the bar and breakfast and the jobs were all as expected. The dorm room is nice and the other volunteers were great. Mihaela is a great manager, especially when I had an accident and she gave me all the time I needed to get better and always checked in. the hostel just had a great atmosphere and I'm glad I visited! Thank you!

The hostel created an amazing atmosphere in its inner yard. There, you'll meet a locals and foreigners in a really cosmopolitan place! (that's rare in Zagreb). Mihaela was an amazing colleague to work with, creating links between volunteers and always looking to give you something to do. She also tried her best to create a link between the volunteers and the heads of the hostel, because sometimes they could have laked of consideration for us. The mix of different tasks was something I appreciated, you never get bored as you get to da lot of different things. Thanks again and best regards from 🇫🇷

Michaela and everyone were so welcoming! The work wasn't too hard and the staff and other volunteers were flexible and took into account any requests. The facilities were good and the kitchen had everything you could need. I will miss everyone (including Swankica 😻)!
