Marrakech is on fire! We don't have a hostel, we have a palace.

This was my first experience as a volunteer and my first experience abroad. I couldn't have chosen a better place for it; I truly felt at home. I was embraced by the hostel staff as if I were part of the family, and I'll miss them all. Everyone was eager to help, trying to communicate, asking if we had eaten, if we needed anything. Not to mention the interactions I had with people from other parts of the world.

The hostel is a nice place in the hesrt of the medina. Besides of easy work and a very welcoming team it was nice to take a lot of time to explore the hostel. The staff was so nice to me, explained a lot about Moroccan culture and told me about Ramadan. Additionally I met super nice other volunteers who I bonded with fantastically!

It was a great experience that I can absolutely tell everyone to have. The staff of the hostel made me feel like one of their own since day one. They are so kind, caring and friendly that you absolutely feel them like long time friends. Some times the manager is gonna ask you to do more hours in a day, it's okay cause they absolutely respect the amount of hours you do by the week, so they give you the free days that are corresponded.

I had the privilege of volunteering at the hostel in the hostel, where Xavier, the owner, exemplified kindness and warmth throughout my time there. The tasks assigned were easily manageable, allowing me to contribute effectively to hostel operations and engage with fellow volunteers and guests. The welcoming atmosphere and genuine camaraderie among the hostel's community made my stay in the hostel truly delightful.

Love my experience on the hostel! I got the morning shift, helping serve, prepare and get payment from the breakfast. It is hard work but more than fear. I got 3 free meals and the hostel's structure is really good! Got to learn about their culture, arabic and connect with local people and specially the staff and the cookers I worked with, they were the best ❤️ miss them already!

The hostel was definitely a little paradise in the Medina. The cooking, cleaning and reception staff were incredible and made me feel at home. Nadia one of the managers was super kind and made sure I always got what I needed. Be prepared for it to be super hot if you come during the summer months, but beyond that you'll have a great experience.

During the stay you work mostlymorning or night shifts. Where you either server breakfast in the mornings or in the evening work at the restaurant and bar. The work isn't too demanding and the schedule leaves you plenty of time to explore the hostel or just relax. The hostel itself is beautiful with some great places to hang out too!

It was 1 month in Marrakesh with a lot of learning, delicious food and amazing people I met. I worked selling and serving breakfasts in the morning, and 2x/week I worked as a bartender at evening. Even though I have no experience with drinks, Xavier was very patient with me and taught me everything to the hostel that today I already feel like a real bartender hahaha! The staffs will be forever in my heart, especially Khalil, Hassan, Salma, Menika (my moroccan mom❤️), Xavier and Nadia, I'm forever grateful for everything you have done for me and I hope to see you guys again soon 🤍
