I am so grateful for my experience at VCV! Teaching here was the best possible decision I could've made! I was teaching both adults and children every week which was truly a valuable learning experience trying to navigate all sorts of levels of the school age groups. The social experience is one of the most impactful parts of VCV because you're able to not only get to know all of your students and other students at VCV, but also all of the VCV Staff, VCV Partners, and the other VCV Volunteers. It was insanely difficult to leave my VCV Family and Vietnam as a whole. I hope to be back soon! :)

VCV is an amazing experience. From the beginning you are welcomed into the VCV family and a homely environment. The schedule is very flexible and there is an all-rounded structure to help enhance your experience as a teacher. The students are engaging and willing to learn and there is constant communication and support when needed from Ms Hay and other members. I would love to come back to VCV in the near future and do it all over again.

Thank you VCV for the amazing experience! I had the chance to the school both adults and children, and I learned so much from working with each group. Socializing with them was so fun, and I learned so much about Vietnamese culture. The atmosphere at home was also something I really cherished and it felt like having a small family in Hanoi. I hope to see you all again very soon!

I loved teaching English at VCV!! The home immediately makes you feel welcomed the school no time it will start to feel like a family. The hours are not a lot at all and very well prepared, lesson plans are given beforehand. I didn't have any teaching experience and that was not an issue at all. I learnt so much and the students are really lovely. In the weekends fun events and trips are organised so you're never bored! I made so many amazing memories and lasting friendships here, would go back in a heartbeat!

My experience at VCV (whilst short) was amazing - it was a unique and special way to meet other travellers, and connect with local Vietnamese people such as the people working at VCV or the students. Staying outside the centre of Hanoi was a great way to balance sightseeing with the ability to become immersed in Vietnamese culture and way of life, and I appreciate how welcoming and friendly everyone was at VCV! I wish I could have stayed longer :)

I had such an amazing time at VCV! The hosts are really nice and welcoming. The apartment is shared so it is easy to make friends and it really starts to feel like family. I have met some amazing people who I'm still in contact with months later! The schedule is usually fixed and will be send to you the weekend in advance, usually you will have around 1-2 classes per day which gives you enough time to explore the city. Even after I had to leave earlier they were still very welcoming and open for me to join the weekend activities. I would definitely recommend volunteering here!

In VCV I found myself teaching again, in ways I've never imagined. I taught orphaned children in a Buddhist temple, creating the most creative dynamics I could think of . I also taught English to young locals (some of them became friends). I experienced Tết Holiday accompanied by local families, I learned to cook typical food, we visited remote villages at festivals, I rode motorcycles in incredible landscapes, and had time to play badminton and explore around. Always food, love, community and karaoke. It was of the most authentic travel experiences I've ever had. Cảm ơn VCV! I'll miss u guys!

It had been a wonderful experience at VCV. Within the 2 months I am there, I have served communities from different background and places in Vietnam. I was given the opportunity to the school also pioneer the physical and virtual Chinese Classes for beginners. My experiences also goes beyond classroom where l get to be involved with hosting workshops, go on trips, celebrate Christmas in the city & in the countryside, Ibnl attend Tet festivals in university! I truly appreciate Ms. Hay, Phoenix, Thu, and Thuy for all the support, care, kindness, friendship, and hospitality given to me A

Hello Wenyi,
We are so sorry for missing the opportunity to give feedback on your Worldpackers profile due to our long Tet holiday break. We sincerely apologize for this oversight.
We can’t thank you enough for your wonderful help over the past two months. You are an incredible volunteer, always full of energy, positivity, and encouragement. You are also a fantastic teacher. Not only do the students appreciate you, but so do other Vietnamese people who have met you. They love you ❤️🔥
