I had such an amazing time at VCV! The hosts are really nice and welcoming. The apartment is shared so it is easy to make friends and it really starts to feel like family. I have met some amazing people who I'm still in contact with months later! The schedule is usually fixed and will be send to you the weekend in advance, usually you will have around 1-2 classes per day which gives you enough time to explore the city. Even after I had to leave earlier they were still very welcoming and open for me to join the weekend activities. I would definitely recommend volunteering here!

In VCV I found myself teaching again, in ways I've never imagined. I taught orphaned children in a Buddhist temple, creating the most creative dynamics I could think of . I also taught English to young locals (some of them became friends). I experienced Tết Holiday accompanied by local families, I learned to cook typical food, we visited remote villages at festivals, I rode motorcycles in incredible landscapes, and had time to play badminton and explore around. Always food, love, community and karaoke. It was of the most authentic travel experiences I've ever had. Cảm ơn VCV! I'll miss u guys!

I was given the opportunity to the school also pioneer the physical and virtual Chinese Classes for beginners. My experiences also goes beyond classroom where l get to be involved with hosting workshops, go on trips, celebrate Christmas in the city & in the countryside, Ibnl attend Tet festivals in university! I truly appreciate Ms. Hay, Phoenix, Thu, and Thuy for all the support, care, kindness, friendship, and hospitality given to me A

Hello Wenyi,
We are so sorry for missing the opportunity to give feedback on your Worldpackers profile due to our long Tet holiday break. We sincerely apologize for this oversight.
We can’t thank you enough for your wonderful help over the past two months. You are an incredible volunteer, always full of energy, positivity, and encouragement. You are also a fantastic teacher. Not only do the students appreciate you, but so do other Vietnamese people who have met you. They love you ❤️🔥

I had such a wonderful time volunteering with VCV! This is such a great opportunity to experience teaching and learn about Vietnam. VCV is very organized and was a very supportive host throughout my time volunteering. I came into it without any experience, but now I feel much more confident in my teaching. The accommodation and food is so wonderful and Hanoi is exciting to explore. I have so many amazing memories from my time with VCV and I would go back any time.

I would absolutely recommend VCV for anybody who wants experience teaching English! I came with no previous English teaching experience, and I learned so much through volunteering here. The meals (lunch and dinner) are home cooked, delicious, and filling. I went with VCV on two different weekend trips out into the provinces where I saw many beautiful parts of Vietnam. For my classes, I taught B1 English to high schoolers twice a week, B2 online classes to mixed age twice a week, and basic english at an orphanage twice a week. Lesson plans are provided for the classes.

First I would like to thank Ms Hay and the Vietnamese staff for their support during my entire stay. VCV is my second home , I really loved every moment spent with everybody. The students are just so nice, always willing to learn, to share ideas and to participate to the several outings organized by VCV. The accommodation is great : the rooms are cozy and the meals prepared by the staff is delicious. The class schedules are made carefully so that each volunteer has the same amount of working hours. We always have a day off during the week. I already miss everyone.

VCV is the closest one can get to a second family. The staff was beyond welcoming and the willingness of students made the teaching experience a joy. It is a truly immersive experience as you share the dorm with Vietnamese people and easily befriend your students. You will have enough time to explore the city and make day trips. I stayed one month, but wish I stayed longer as I made the greatest memories in Vietnam here. I would love to come back to greet everyone again.

I've had an amazing month with VCV! Living with other volunteers was such a joy, and I've made some incredible friends here. The accommodation was comfortable, and the weekly schedule of cultural activities added so much to the experience. The hosts were always kind, and helpful, and went out of their way to make sure we felt at home. The students were so eager to learn and participate, which made every class enjoyable and fulfilling. This made it one of my best volunteer experiences yet! I already regret leaving so soon and would absolutely love to come back!

I had a great time staying and teaching at VCV! Everyone involved is very welcoming, helpful and keen to get to know you and make you feel settled into life in Hanoi. It's a real opportunity to see what life is like in the city, away from the standard tourist experience, which is what I was hoping for. The teaching side of things is enjoyable and it's insightful and fun to talk to local people and learn about their culture firsthand. I'd definitely recommend volunteering at VCV, thanks for having me!
