The Experience

La Campeggia is a social camping in the hills of Northern Italy, run by a small community. Volunteers help with daily life: welcoming guests, caring for spaces, small maintenance, gardening and creative projects. You’ll live close to nature, share meals and moments, and become part of a place that connects people, land and culture.

The farm is the perfect place that combines rural nature, local culture, modernity and kindness. The team is very welcoming and I felt included all of the time. Moreover, the campsite is designed nicely with a modern bath house, a pool, a cozy common area inside and an equipped kitchen that invites to cook delicious meals. The view on to the hillside region is stunning and there are many different paths to hike on. The work is flexible and short. I truly enjoyed my time and can highly recommend this experience to everyone who wants to immerse in nature, local culture and meet nice people.

I had an incredible two weeks at the farm. The staff were so welcoming and made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. The area itself is stunning, with beautiful views everywhere you look. The food was honestly the best I've had during all my travels, and the wine was just as good. This was my first Worldpackers experience, and I feel really lucky that it turned out to be such a great one. In my free time, I enjoyed playing table tennis, hiking, and playing Italian card games. I can't thank everyone there enough for making it such a special experience. I didn't want to leave.

First of all, the campsite is utterly beautiful—the photos don't do it justice! The only con is there's a lot of walking, but it's worth it. Marghe is an absolute gem and made me feel right at home. Rishi, Federica, and Philipo are also great—always there to answer doubts or help, and their friends are lovely too. Everyone on the campsite is welcoming, helpful, and understanding. My tasks were physically intense at times, but being surrounded by others doing harder jobs kept me motivated. Grateful for this experience!
