The Experience

Hello, worldpackers! We're looking for help with housekeeping in our hostel! Come help us a little bit and enjoy your stay in Scotland! Our backpackers is located in the oldest standing house in Dundee with parts of this historic building dating as far back as the 1600s. Join the team and have a chance to live in a building full of history. We like playing music, board games, bad movies, great meals!

My experience at the hostel Backpacker Hostel was amazing!! The hostel is pretty big and cozy, the hours were respected and the communication was good! Its a big place so its very nice to meet other volunteers/ travelers and new friends there. Thank you again for letting me stay here.^^

I had a great time at DBH, it truly feels like home now. I stayed for 5 incredible months, and it was an unforgettable experience. The workload is fair and well balanced, and the environment is welcoming and supportive. the hostel is a very well-connected city, which makes it easy to explore not only the area but also the rest of Scotland. I'm really grateful for everything I experienced there and would highly recommend DBH to anyone looking for a meaningful and enriching Worldpackers stay. One of my best volunteering experiences ever! The management Chris , Herve, whole team were super friendly, helpful, and understanding. The hostel feels like home, full cozy spaces- reading room, games room, tv room and amazing events like international dinners, games night. The volunteers were like a family always baking, cooking and laughing together, I even extended my stay, and it's right in the city centre, so everything is close, and old 1500s- style building has such a special vibe. Made friends for life, can't wait to come back again.
