The experience

Hello, worldpackers! We're looking for help with housekeeping in our hostel! Come help us a little bit and enjoy your stay in Scotland!

Our backpackers is located in the oldest standing house in Dundee with parts of this historic building dating as far back as the 1600s. Join the team and have a chance to live in a building full of history.

We like playing music, board games, bad movies, great meals!

What you offer

16 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

What you get

3 days off per week

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English

Between 18 and 40 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

As a volunteer in our hostel, you will get a bed in our spacious mixed 11 beds staff dormitory, and have access to all our common rooms and areas: kitchen, dining room, TV room, games room, reading room, free pool table, guitars, piano, ...
If possible, you will be able to choose your 3 days off every week.

The tasks include making the beds, cleaning the rooms, communal areas, kitchen, staircases, corridors, ...

12 hours a week, split in 3 hours shifts, 4 days a week.
