The Experience
We are going to Japan in March 2026 and are looking for someone to housesit and pet sit (2 outdoor cats that do not need much requirement) I also have a log cabin on the property and if there are bookings you need to be available for turnover on check out dates and available for assistance with the sauna if they book that service. If you are a qualified massage therapist this is a bonus as I also have a treatment room.

Elaine and her kids welcomed us into her home and made us feel very comfortable! Tasks were explained well and we had a lot of independence with work; days were very flexible and easy going. Elaine gave us great advice about the surrounding area, the Kerry mountains are beautiful with many walks and hikes available.

I had a wonderful experience with Elaine, she received me and treated me all the time as part of her family, she lives with her children in a beautiful area surrounded by nature and beautiful landscapes. On weekends we went for bike rides in Killarney and some towns in the area. The tasks were calm and the schedules flexible, it was a pleasure to be able to help her with projects at home. She is always very busy, but she always took care of cooking delicious recipes. She was also very patient in communication, my level of English is not very good and I value that very much.
