My experience was very good. Shu, the hostel manager, is a great person and a good leader. The organization is excellent at the beginning of each month, he gives you the schedule with your shifts so you can better plan your trips and time. Working 3 days and resting 4 seems excellent to me. I definitely recommend this volunteering experience.

We did our volunteering at Peace House Abeno. Staying here was great: the permanent staff, Steven and Kenji are helpful and knowledgeable about the place and Osaka too. Really recommended, thanks for having us!

We stayed at Peace House Abeno and it was a great experience! The tasks are super easy and the workload is not crazy. Kenji and Steven were around to help when needed. We would really recommend this experience to anybody!

I stayed with this host in Osaka for a while and had a good experience. The place is simple but comfortable, and it has everything you need. Osaka itself is amazing, with so much to see and do once you're off shift. The work is easy to manage: straightforward tasks that help keep everything running smoothly, without being stressful. It’s not the most unique setup, but it’s a great option if you’re looking for a place to stay while exploring the city and lending a hand. Plus, it’s a nice opportunity to meet people from all over the world and share experiences.

I stayed at peace house for about a month with my partner. The manager even provided us with a privat room. The work was fine and I could engage in a lot of conversations with people from all over the world. .
I can really recommend this experience if you want to see Kobe, Kyoto, Nara, etc.
You only have to work 3 days a week, so you have plenty of time to visit all those cities
