Maharlikha permaculture
We live in a small village where life is simple, close to nature, and deeply rooted in tradition. Volunteers are welcome to join us in our daily activities and help us exchange knowledge about agriculture, climate, and integrated farming.
Here, you can experience a truly rural lifestyle—cooking with firewood, eating homegrown food, and living in harmony with nature. Volunteers can help in the garden, collect firewood, prepare traditional meals, and learn about permaculture and sustainable farming.
In addition to farm work, we also have a community program where volunteers can visit local schools to help teach English or play with children in kindergartens. This is a great way to connect with the local community, experience the village’s educational system, and bring joy to the children while also learning from them.
Our location is also perfect for nature lovers! We are 5 hours from Mount Sindoro and Mount Sumbing, and 4 hours from the beautiful Dieng Plateau, where you can witness breathtaking sunrises, ancient temples, and volcanic craters.
I am a farmer living in a rural area, growing my own food, cooking with a traditional kitchen, and embracing a sustainable lifestyle. We are creating a food forest using permaculture principles, and we welcome volunteers who are interested in learning and experiencing this way of life.
You will stay in a simple village house with basic facilities, enjoy traditional Javanese food, and live in a peaceful environment surrounded by nature. If you love simplicity, slow living, and connecting with the land, this is the perfect place for you
