Guesthouse Tamamiya

The city of Koshu, Yamanashi Prefecture, where we live, is a producer of peaches and grapes and has a wonderful view of Mount Fuji. In spring, many cherry
blossoms and peach blossoms bloom.
I would like you to help about 4 hours a day.

I work as a beautician and my future husband is a farmer who grows grapes and vegetables. What I'm looking for is help with farming and I offer private accommodation. https://www.instagram.com/tamamiya_minpaku

This was my first Worldpackers experience and I had such a fantastic time :)) Everyone was so welcoming and kind! The food was delicious, and the work was fun. They took the time to show us around. It was such a beautiful area. I would love to be back one day- I miss it already!

It was the best first volunteering experience I could have asked for. Even tho they had a lot to do, they always took their time to experience things together, show me around and cook these delicious meals. Would definitely recommend :)

I had such an amazing time at Guesthouse Tamamiya! Baba, Miyuki, and Katsu are not only wonderful hosts (and great chefs!) but also make you feel like part of their family. The area is so peaceful, surrounded by local houses and fields, and I loved being able to hop on a bike to explore during my free time. Plus, you can see Mt. Fuji right from the house! The work itself was really enjoyable; you mostly do farm tasks. So if you like working in nature, Guesthouse Tamamiya is the best place!

It was my first time volunteering, but even though I’m shy, I felt at home—strong and independent—with the host family. I was amazed by the nature and the social interactions with the locals. I truly enjoyed the experience and discovered meaningful details both within myself and in the world around me.

We loved the 2 weeks we spent in the guesthouse. the work was very light, flexible and variable which made it interesting everyday, there were 2 days in which we could not do much because it rained and Miyuki was very comprehensive about that. Everything else apart from de job was wonderful, the food baba made was delicious, the vibes, the hospitality, the views, we really loved it as a first volunteering experience. We were able to spend time with guests, doing english learning activities with kids and enjoying bbq. I would 100% recommend this experience and i hope to return in the future
