British Language Academy

Our guests are welcome at anytime to stay from one to three months.
We offer free couscouss every Friday and free Tajins on Saturday.A lady is there to teach and to cook for our volunteers any Moroccan speciality provided they buy the ingredients.
Our volunteers spend nearly nothing on the food because living is very cheap here.
Every week we organise very cheap trips to Marrakech and the desert ,to Chefchaouen the blue city Fes and Essaouira and Ouzoud waterfalls
We give them the opportunity to learn Arabic and French by talking to French volunteers and Moroccan teachers

A language school where people come to learn English and French. We host native or fluent speakers of these languages to give the opportunity to our learners to experience being in an English speaking environment. We also give our guests the opportunity to discover the real life of Moroccan families, customs and traditions by talking to our students

The experience in Casablanca was great!
All the volunteers of the school (Casablanca uptown) live together with some teachers in an environment that makes it easy to make friends.
We worked for 4 days/week max 15h/week and the work is just talking to english students of different levels. The communication about the changing start of the lessons could have been clearer, but it was alright. On the days off you can either explore Morocco by yourself or with a tour provided by the host. We self organized our trips. Casablanca is a great home base to visit a lot of nice places
Would def reccomend

We had a good experience; however, I believe the food situation needs improvement, or future volunteers should at least be informed in advance that meals are only provided two to three times a week.
The students are amazing, and the school staff gave us a warm welcome. We also took a trip to the north of Morocco, which was affordable and absolutely incredible.
Overall, it was a very enriching experience for us, full of learning and cultural exchange.
I recommend it to anyone who wants to get to know Morocco.

The work was simple and involved speaking English at the school twice a day. The apartment was decent, but not much to do in Casablanca...
Although lunch was listed as included, it was only provided three days a week, not even on all working days.
I became ill and missed a day, the host sent me a message expressing disappointment and asked me to make up for the absence later. The way he addressed the situation was uncomfortable for me. Other volunteers also found the situation concerning. I did make up the missed day.
School’s organized trips, had a cost, but were worthwhile.

My stay at the British language academy was genuinely so wonderful and rewarding. Great place to meet a lot of other volunteers from different countries. Shows you how local people truly live throughout the conversations. Every week you have a couple days off which you can fill with travels either organized by the school or by yourself as volunteers. Big fan of the educational concept. Can’t recommend enough!
