We had a wonderful experience at the British Academy. The staff is very caring and helpful, including the teachers, administrators, and other volunteers.
We arrived in the middle of August. Unfortunately, there were no courses in Casablanca's Uptown area, but Harim gave us the option of staying and exploring Morocco.
I recommend it.

My time at the BA was wonderful, although I hadn’t been informed that there are no classes in August. Since teaching wasn’t possible, Harim kindly offered me the chance to help on the farm, which became the highlight of my stay. The local team at the farm is fantastic, especially Ayoub and Halid, who I grew very fond of. Ayoub, besides being an excellent Darija teacher, cooked us delicious local meals, guided us in all the farm work, and even stayed by my side when I had a small accident. Thanks to Ayoub, the workers and the other volunteers my experience was truly unforgettable 💙

The job is super chill: you just chat with students about class topics, practice English, teach vocab or correct them. All this while you learn about Moroccan culture. I loved this way of teaching, and the students are reeeally nice. Harim is very relaxed and flexible if you want a free day or even to switch schools. I first expected to be in Casablanca but ended up in Berrechid, a small non-touristic city. At first it felt boring, but I ended up loving the people, the school, the chill vibes, and the volunteers’ team. Totally recommend it!

My time at the British Language Academy was one of the most rewarding experiences I've had. The volunteer work is both meaningful and enjoyable—you help students improve their spoken English while immersing yourself in the local culture, customs, and cuisine. Harim, the host, is kind and accommodating, with multiple locations to choose from. A highlight for me was connecting with fellow volunteers from around the world. I highly recommend this opportunity to anyone looking to make a real difference.

The task is having conversations with the students, it’s very pleasant and the hours are relaxed. You will have 3-4 days of work and 3-4 free days a week during which you can easily make trips all around the country. Also the host will provide the opportunity to join organized tours like the desert tour which i highly recommend. Overall its a great opportunity to dive into Moroccan culture in a smooth way while also meeting other international travelers and cool people along the way.
