British Language Academy
Our guests are welcome at anytime to stay from one to three months.
We offer free couscouss every Friday and free Tajins on Saturday.A lady is there to teach and to cook for our volunteers any Moroccan speciality provided they buy the ingredients.
Our volunteers spend nearly nothing on the food because living is very cheap here.
Every week we organise very cheap trips to Marrakech and the desert ,to Chefchaouen the blue city Fes and Essaouira and Ouzoud waterfalls
We give them the opportunity to learn Arabic and French by talking to French volunteers and Moroccan teachers
A language school where people come to learn English and French. We host native or fluent speakers of these languages to give the opportunity to our learners to experience being in an English speaking environment.We also give our guests the opportunity to discover the real life of Moroccan families,customs and traditions by talking to our students

I volunteered at the Berrichid location. It was so fun, you will work just a couple hours per day. The kids are funny and keen to learn. It is not too much work. I do think it is a fair exchange as the living quarters are also basic. For example you will provide everything yourself, including toilet paper. If you are going to Berrechid keep in mind the city is small and more suburban, however it is very close to Casablanca and other cities by train so you can utilise your days off to explore. The host Harim is very accomodating! He does whatever he can to help volunteers.

The work is super chill, the kids and teenagers are very nice and fun, also Harim and the teachers. The house needs attention, both in its structure and in daily maintenance.The bedroom doors don't close properly, which significantly disrupts sleep if you want to sleep while other people are awake and talking outside. I made one trip organized by them and itwas not my type of travelling, as the most part of it is been in the van and stoping to take pictures, leaving little time for the truly interesting thing

I spent 3 weeks volunteering at the British Language Academy in Casablanca and had a great experience through Worldpackers. I was placed at the Hay Chrifa location in the suburbs. Although it wasn’t my first choice, I quickly adapted and ended up liking it thanks to the supportive teachers, amazing volunteers, and help from Khalil and Harim. The role is more about casual conversation than formal teaching. Accommodations were comfortable, and we got 3 free meals a week. Be flexible, go with the flow, and you’ll have a truly rewarding time here!

This was my first Worldpackers experience and I was so pleased. There were definitely many go with the flow moments, but that's traveling for you...and nothing left a strongly bad impression. Harim and Khalili were welcoming and helpful the entire month I was there. The school offers short trips across Morocco, which were so fun & inexpensive.
The work is simple as long as you like to talk. You chat with students ages 6-55 (usually 1-3 people) after they finish class for 60-90 mins (5 days/week). There is a cleaner who comes and you get 3 meals/week which was a delightful surprise!
