The Experience

Our schools in Casablanca,Berrechid and El Jadida welcome you to Morocco! In our schools , our guests, simply have short conversations with our students. We host native or fluent speakers to give the opportunity to our learners to be in a comfortable environment to practice and build their confidence in speaking. We had a wonderful experience at the host. The staff is very caring and helpful, including the teachers, administrators, and other volunteers. We arrived in the middle of August. Unfortunately, there were no courses in Casablanca's Uptown area, but Harim gave us the option of staying and exploring Morocco. I recommend it.

The job is super chill: you just chat with students about class topics, practice English, teach vocab or correct them. All this while you learn about Moroccan culture. I loved this way of teaching, and the students are reeeally nice. Harim is very relaxed and flexible if you want a free day or even to switch schools. I first expected to be in Casablanca but ended up in Berrechid, a small non-touristic city. At first it felt boring, but I ended up loving the people, the school, the chill vibes, and the volunteers' team. Totally recommend it!

My time at the host was one of the most rewarding experiences I've had. The volunteer work is both meaningful and enjoyable—you help students improve their spoken English while immersing yourself in the local culture, customs, and cuisine. Harim, the host, is kind and accommodating, with multiple locations to choose from. A highlight for me was connecting with fellow volunteers from around the world. I highly recommend this opportunity to anyone looking to make a real difference.

The task is having conversations with the students, it's very pleasant and the hours are relaxed. You will have 3-4 days of work and 3-4 free days a week during which you can easily make trips all around the country. Also the host will provide the opportunity to join organized tours like the desert tour which i highly recommend. Overall its a great opportunity to dive into Moroccan culture in a smooth way while also meeting other international travelers and cool people along the way.

It has been great working as a volunteer teaching English in the host. The work is clear and there's a predictable schedule for those that need to conciliate their online jobs or responsabilities. There's room for socializing with other volunteers either in the shared living spaces or when there's a trip organised by Harim (the host). There are three schools with similar schedules that allows for teachers to visit and discover other parts of Casablanca during their stay. Also, 3 days off is a plus!
