The Aran Islands attract tourist from all over the world. Our Lodge is situated near the great Celtic Fort Dún Aonghasa. You are guaranteed to have an authentic Irish experience through language music, history food and drink. By day you can enjoy the stunning scenery and by night enjoy the nightlife with food drink and live music in pubs and restaurants.

We now welcome applications for both volunteer workers and those with specific skills that require and are eligible for paid employment. Specific skills in media, management or cooking required. We provide an unbelievable base for the visitor and worldpackers to explore Inis Mór. I am native of the Island and I have a great love for the place. You will have access to cooking, wifi and bike hire as part of our offering. You will be provided with food and accommodation - an ensuite room sharing with other Worldpackers in a house close to a blue flag beach. Candidates should be social, positive, fit, healthy and willing to work as a team. The workschedule will be 4 / 5 hours work every morning - housekeeping , cooking etc. Employment may be available for those allowed to work at our base and payment will be made at local rates. We encourage worldpackers to use the island as a base and spend their days of travelling together to Galway City , Doolin, The Cliffs of Moher and Connemara to get the most out of your cultural visit.

Leaving Aran Walkers Lodge and Inís Mór was absolutely awful because I had the time of my life there. Brenda, the manager, is the kindest, warmest person i’ve ever met and she makes the place feel like home right away! Unfortunately she finished up her season and left while I still had a while to stay. Seán is a smart and funny man! He respects the boundaries and hours agreed upon and he has a lot of knowledge about the island! The other volunteers were great. The place is located on the more remote far side of the island, but perfect for nature lovers! I will be back, biggest hugs from me!

It's my second time at Aran Walkers Lodge and it couldn't have been better. I feel at home when I'm here and this season was a retreat. We had many guests, I met people, I had great experiences and I got to explore my favorite places on the island. Tasks were divided and organized and our days off were always respected. Thank you, Brenda and Sean for this season, I really felt at home. I wish you all the best.

My best experience with Worldpackers so far. The Lodge truly felt like a home to me, everyone was welcoming, warm, and we were an excellent team. It was really a joy to do the activities everyday, which are very easy to handle, and leave you plenty of time to go and explore the island. Inis Mor is a beautifull place, great for those looking to disconnect from the world and enjoy nature. It's perfect for hiking, biking, and has a long and interesting history. Sean is a great host, very attentive and fun, and Brenda, the manager, is one of the best people you can hope to meet.

I volunteered here for a short time and had both positive and negative experiences. Meals were generous with plenty of variety, the other volunteers were kind and the quiet location with private rooms, bicycles, beautiful area and even the cats made it enjoyable. Brenda was warm, open and supportive and the daily tasks were light and manageable. Unfortunately, interactions with Sean felt disrespectful sometimes; when I shared feedback, he denied ever hearing such concerns, although others had raised them before (e.g. on Worldpackers or at the Lodge). This led me to leave earlier than planned.

Thank you Kayla for your review. I appreciate all feedback as it helps us understand what we are doing well and what we are not doing well!.
I believe that yourself and Luise are capable and promising young ladies and I wish you both well going forward.
Every experience is a learning experience!
Making us aware of your view of events helps us understand how you felt!. It does make us examine our actions with that in mind.
Kind regards,
Seán.
