I had a great time at the hostel. The work is easy and the working hours are respected. The staff is really nice and helpful and since the hostel owners run other hostels in Scotland it was possible to explore other locations as well.

I spent a month in the hostel, I enjoyed my time here and I would recommend it. It's such a lovely little town where you can do lots of hiking, eat ice cream, go to the café or sit near the lake. You can also go to other cities like Glasgow or Edinburgh by bus during your days off, or you can just relax in the hostel which feels just like home. Everyone I met was kind and I will remember them. Thanks to everyone for everything, especially Derek, who is a cool person with good recommendations who wears cool t-shirts !!

Ha sido una experiencia totalmente enriquecedora, volvería al hostel Hotel sin ninguna duda. Los trabajadores de recepción, Derek y Ruthie han sido muy cercanos y me han facilitado mucho la estancia, muchas gracias por ser tan pacientes y amables. Los voluntarios tambien han sido clave para una estancia tan agradable. Gracias por ser tan majos todos y ya os estoy echando de menos. Volveré el hostel

Si buscas paz, contacto con la naturaleza y un hostel para sentirte en casa, el hostel es tu lugar. Lo recomiendo con ojos cerrados! Todos fueron maravillosos y siempre los extrañaré. No es duro el trabajo y son muy flexibles. // I recommend it without hesitation to anyone who wants a peaceful volunteer experience connected to nature. The team is incredible, and you feel at home the whole time. Thank you all so much for the wonderful adventures

The hostel is a magical place. One I never imagined I'd visit. It's a small but very picturesque town, with beautiful views and charming Scottish buildings. A gem in the Highlands. Very close to Edinburgh, which you can visit on your days off, and they also allow you to stay in other hostels in the same chain. I loved the flexibility, the beautiful work environment, and I made friends. The owners, Jo and Richard, are very friendly and always willing to make sure you have a good volunteer experience. I loved meeting them and stayed at their beautiful hostel I will miss you very much

My stay at the hostel was perfect! Derek, Ruthie, Rich and Jo are all amazing and so welcoming. I felt so at home here, the hours are always respected, I met amazing people, and got to see so much of the local area. I'd recommend this experience to everyone. Thankyou :)

This was honestly one of the best experiences of my life. The team is so wonder and Ruthie and Rich were fabulous with me. I met so many great people, both volunteers and guests. I enjoyed the work, had plenty of time to explore the town and nature. I'm definitely coming back!!! I already miss it!

This was my second experience as a volunteer in this hostel chain and it was really enjoyable. The whole space is cozy, comfortable and very well organized, making the stay pleasant and peaceful. I had the opportunity to meet incredible people and share unforgettable moments. I can't forget to thank Jojo, Richard, Dereck and Ruthie — each of them made this experience even more special in their own way. A special thanks to Jojo, who is always kind and often surprises everyone with delicious dinners. I am very grateful for everything and I highly recommend this experience to everyone.

My experience has been wonderful from the day I joined until the day I leave. The managers are excellent people and help you in everything, the work is not very heavy, they are simple tasks. The place and the location is excellent, I hope to come back one day because I really go back to Spain very happy and with an improvement in my English which is why I came. I can only thank all the people who made it possible Derrick, Ruthie, Richard thank you, thank you very much from the bottom of my heart. It is an experience I will never forget ❤️

El equipo de MacBackpackers es excelente! Tienen una energia super alegre y siempre se preocupan por que estemos a gusto. Las horas de trabajo varian segun los dias pero nunca exceden lo pactado, ademas las tareas son super sencillas de hacer y se encargan de explicarte como funciona todo. Ruthie y Rich son unos anfitriones excelentes, sin dudas disfrute mucho mi tiempo aqui.
