I spent one month at Aki Cafe Inn and it was an amazing experience — my first one through Worldpackers. My job was to welcome guests and clean the rooms. I worked three to four days a week, depending on the tasks, which gave me plenty of time to explore Hiroshima and its surroundings. The job wasn't too difficult, and it really helped me improve my Japanese! Everyone here was incredibly kind — the other volunteers, the guests, and the owner. A big shout-out to Ryoko-san! I truly felt at home during this month and I 1000% recommend it!

The guest house has been the best volunteer place i've been so far, the team and place was the nicest! It really is so clean! And Ryoko-san is the sweetest person you'll ever met! Also the location is so convenient near Hiroshima station and you can just walk to the center of the city or take the bike you can rent for free in the guest house. You can also connect with others at the common space there are always people to talk to, both staff and guests. I would really recommend this place to everyone !🤍

I will always have fond memories of the time I spent in Hiroshima at Aki-Cafe, Fumi-san has cultivated a fantastic space for guests and volunteers alike! It was a pleasure spending over 1 month as a member of the cleaning staff, meeting so many wonderful people. Being able to use the guest house e-bikes for free is phenomenal! The exceptional kitchen facilities are a money and lifesaver for a vegetarian. Otherwise, I'd highly recommend attending a baseball game, Aki-Cafe even has spare jerseys, Carp fan for life! Big thank you to Fumi-san and Ryoko-san for all your kindness and support!

I really enjoyed my time in the guest house! It was my 3rd volunteer and definitely the best one. The tasks are clear and I got a good introduction. The guesthouse was very clean also and it was easy to connect with the others. I was always finish in time. Fumi-san and Ryoko-san are very friendly and Ryoko-san took a lot of care and was always smiling. 🥰

The guest house has been awesome! I intended to stay 1 month but ended up staying 2:) The hostel is very well managed with work expectations clearly communicated. I have learned a lot about hostel management from the work. The hostel is a great blend of social space and cleanliness. It has been great meeting people and making new friends, with both other travelers and fellow staff. I always felt very comfortable in the private capsules and with the super clean facilities, thank you team! Hiroshima is now one of my favorite cities. Much less touristy and full of rivers. 100% recommend!

My time in Aki cafe is so much fun, more than I expected. There are always around 10 volunteers and we do so much things together. This is a very nice place to meet people, and make international friends. And the hostel is small but very well designed. It is a cozy place to live. Thank you for Fumi-san, Lyuko-san and all the volunteers I met.

It was the best guesthouse ever. The host and manager care about the staff and make it convenient. The location of the guesthouse is very good and I think we are making great memories here. I will definitely come back again!! I highly recommend it to you!

Work is fairly easy with proper guidance provided by Ryoko-san and Haruka. I enjoyed my time and Hiroshima and would recommend this to anyone
