I had a wonderful stay at Aki Café Inn. The atmosphere is warm, friendly and welcoming, and the team is incredibly kind and helpful. I truly felt at home from the first day. The guesthouse is very clean, comfortable and very pleasant to live in. I made great memories here and I'm very grateful for this experience. I highly recommend this place and would love to come back one day. Thank you so much ❤️

Everybody at Aki Cafè was incredibly nice and helpful. I had a great time. The volunteer are put to work, but the result is literally the best hostel I've ever seen. Free time is also plenty, so it's easy to tour the city and the surrounding. Couldn't recommend it more

I had a good experience volunteering here. The host was nice. The accommodation was great and really comfortable. The work can be quite demanding sometimes and and standards are very high here. There is a lot of information to take in, so don't be surprised if you feel overwhelmed at first. If you can finish early then you can go and enjoy your day. I've met some really great people working here too which made the experience worth it.

I had a great time at Akicafé, thank you again Ryoko, Dina for teaching me with so much patience and the great Team of volunteers I met there ! It felt like home during christmas Time and - japanese style - everything is so well done here. Cleaning is not a passion for me but it is so enjoyable to feel useful while travelling (and stay in that really Nice place). Wish you the best !

Fumi san entrusted the tasks and off days fairly to the volunteers and always ready to support us, Ryoko-san, one of the staffs there took good care of us and shared with us her home made new year soba. Others volunteers are friendly and helpful. A comfortable stay to explore Hiroshima while practicing Japanese language at the reception. Recommended host!

Pase tres semanas en Aki café. Recomiendo el lugar, es cómodo, pero por supuesto limpiar un hostel no es tarea fácil, a los japoneses les gusta que todo quede perfecto y brillante, me costó tiempo aprender a hacer las camas sin que queden arrugas. El horario no está mal pero al terminar a las 15 horas y considerando que vine en invierno (a las 17 se pone el sol) entre que almorzaba y eso no me quedaba mucho tiempo para pasear. El dueño tiene dos hostels y algunas veces hay que ir hasta el otro que no queda muy cerca, eso era molesto para mí. Pero rescato que los empleados son muy amables :)

My time at the guest house was truly wonderful and unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and comfortable, and every little detail made my stay special. The atmosphere, the kindness, and the care put into the guesthouse turned my visit into a memory I will always treasure. I am sooooo thankful for the experience, and for all the people I met there. I really hope to see u again guys! Seriously I truly hope to come back one day. I wholeheartedly recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting Hiroshima. The guest house was such a lovely hostel, extremely clean and well-equipped in terms of facilities. Everyone was really respectful :) Also, the location is great next to the main station + e-bikes provided for free! It wasn't the most social experience, as I don't speak Japanese (I think this applies everywhere in Japan) and cleaning is kinda meticulous and independent. I liked the clear rules though - when it becomes a routine, it's doable. Also, it's worth noting that Hiroshima isn't that big for exploring, but two weeks was fine (many sights are open 9am-5pm). Recommending 💯

I really enjoyed volunteering at the guest house! The tasks you'll be doing are easy to understand. You will work from 11:00 to 15:00, and the number of beds to make depends on the day, then you have to clean the common areas. As it was my first time, some days felt harder than others, however the staff were always there to help! When you've finished, you can now explore the amazing city of Hiroshima, and I loved the electric bikes they provide. Also met fabulous volunteers, and we went to visit and eat together many times. The place is overall very clean. Thank you the guest house & my friends!

The guest house was such a lovely place to work. Every single person I worked with was so kind to me the entirety of my stay. I found the work itself to be pretty easy and the hours are very well respected. The rooms are super clean and have aircon 24/7, and you have your own private pod in one of the hostel rooms. It's a very relaxed and calm atmosphere overall. The location is so good as it is only a street away from Hiroshima station. There's also electric bicycles which are available (if guests arnt using them) and can get you into the city centre in 10 mins. I will definitely be back☺️
