My stay in the hostel was amazing! I really enjoyed this volunteering because I could feel that I was a volunteer and not a worker. We help the staff and the hours are very fair and they are flexible and we need to change anything. I spent most of my time exploring the hostel Scotland and it was awesome!!! Love it and recommend for sure

This was my first Worldpackers experience and I could not have asked for a better place! The staff and other volunteers were so lovely and welcoming. The nightly events at the bar were a great way to get to know people and spend time with the other volunteers. The working hours were very flexible, with several days off, allowing you to explore Edi. A great experience overall :)

From the get-go, all of the staff including managers and other workers were all so friendly and welcoming. I was lucky enough to bartend as my volunteer position, and as having no experience bartending, I've never felt more comfortable learning something new. I wish I could've met more worldpacker volunteers, as my coworkers were all locals and fulltime staff. However this did not take away how kind and welcoming they all were.

I had a really amazing time at the hostel! The work is quite intense, but it's only 3 days a week, and they always respected requested days off on the schedule! The staff were fantastic, I'm so glad to have met them. They no longer offer bartending and reception jobs, which was a surprise. Volunteers only do housekeeping and breakfast shifts. It's in a great location within Edinburgh, but the lack of hostel common area made it difficult to meet other travellers beyond fellow volunteers! Overall, though, I definitely recommend them!! My experience was fair, so fun, and I fell in love with Edinburgh!!

My experience overall was good, i could practice my english, i could share with more travellers and with some members of the staff. Also i could enjoy the Fringe experience during August. The hostel doesn't have like a common area where you can really share, so basically we where using the space from the bar all the time, and sometimes was very busy ans you coudn't find a proper spot to eat or to chill beside your room. The work is ok, you work 3 days at week and the rest you are free, and they are very flexible with the shifts

I really enjoyed my stay at the hostel. Not only we're the people very kind but the work was not bad and got many days off. Its in a great spot in edinburgh close to many great spots such as royal mile street and the castle. I will miss the amazing volunteers. Thankyou for a great experience

The hostel is a great place, I have learned how a hostel works and how complicated it can be, but there are also a few problems with lack of communication and sometimes the volunteers can be overworked, it is not often but it can happen. It is important to remember that we are volunteering and not hired professionals. Besides that, I met some great people, had a lot of fun, participated in the quizz nights and karaoke of the fifty bar and had a lot of their delicious hot chocolates. I really appreciate the opportunity and would come back if opportunity comes.

My experience at the hostel was mostly positive! The hostel's prime location made exploration easy, and the accommodation I stayed in was excellent. I especially enjoyed working with Jamie and Paz, whose camaraderie contributed to the experience. The breakfast is a plus, and you only work 3 days a week. However, I found that the housekeeping work can be quite heavy, sometimes leading to longer hours than the staff. It would be even better if the hostel facilitated better interaction between the staff and volunteers. Overall, my time was very rewarding, and I cherish the enriching memories.

I just wanna say thanks for Lily, Iustina, Mel, Paz, Robbie and all the volunteers that becomes this experience one of my favorites. It's good location, the job is easy, and the schedule (Until I leave) was flexible and good. I just have to say something about the housekeeping, look like we've been working more than the workers from the company (that we should just help them) and I think it's unfair with us; another thing is just sometimes didn't look like we r part from the staff team, we don't even know who works to the company or not. But This experience was really amazing, Thanks all u ❤️

The people were amazing! They are really willing to work with your schedule which i appreciate working remotely and being in school. The housekeeping work can be quite taxing on the body, but if anything begins to be too much I suggest talking with management. Overall, great people, place, and the breakfast is a super plus ✅✅
