My experience at the hostel was fantastic to say the least. I arrived on August and was immediately welcomed and felt at home. Vitor and the other guys were super friendly and always available to help me. If you are looking for a little freedom, the sea and make new friends this is the perfect place. The hostel is very big and spacious, the pool and garden are perfect for spent time with friends! I'm really greatful to have had this experience and i recommend anyone to do it! Thanks Vitor, you are the best, but obviously thanks also to my second family, it was wonderful! Grazie <3

My experience in Carcavelos and the hostel exceeded all my expectations. Being my first time volunteering I didn't know what to expect, but from day one, I felt welcomed by the other volunteers and staff. I stayed for the whole month of August, which meant the hostel was quite full, but the work was chill and easy. Vitor is the best manager! Beds could be better but the hostel really grows on you; it's spacious, and the garden with the pool is amazing. I had time to surf, visit Lisbon, party a lot, make friends, but most importantly, felt at home and with a family. Would love to come back!

Meus dias no hostel foram incríveis. O Vitor e o Zé me receberam muito bem, fizemos churrascos várias vezes e nos divertimos bastante. Fiz amizades com outros voluntários que vou levar para a vida toda! Obrigada por tudo ❤️

I just had to go back to this hostel to stay a little longer because it's such a good experience and it's been hard to leave!! Definitely recommend this place is you want to meet different people, party in Lisbon and still wanna live by the beach!

This hostel has become family 🩵 I've met incredible people and I was able to make amazing connections!! The hostel is very close to the beach, I was able to go for a run along the beach every morning, and also very close to the train station which is great for going to Lisbon for a night out! 110% recommend this place and I can't wait to go back. Thank you so much Vitor, you're wonderful and you're doing an amazing job!!

O hostel proporciona uma conexão incrível com pessoas do mundo todo. Os voluntários são muito bem tratados e o José está sempre preocupado com o bem estar da equipe. O hostel é muito bem localizado, muito próximo à praia e à estação de trem, o que permite explorar a região com facilidade.

N tive uma experiência agradável, n era algo realmente colaborativo como uma devida experiência Worldpacker e viver essa experiência era de que basicamente éramos funcionários e n voluntários, meu parceiro trabalhava até nas folgas dele e tínhamos receio de reclamar sobre isso pq soubemos q aconteceu de ex voluntário ser expulso do hostel por ter dormido no seu turno, ok era o momento tá pessoa estar no seu turno e n dormindo mas creio q essa n é a melhor forma de se resolver impasses mas independe da experiência alheia a minha não foi das melhores, n acho q os voluntários são bem tratados

Realmente a experiência com você não foi agradável e para ambas as partes.
Você mesmo após receber treinamento, cometia erros simples como não saber como contar dinheiro e várias vezes! além de estar sempre isolada na sua cama com cara feia. Desta forma era impossível integrar vocês a todos os churrascos e outras atividades que fazemos juntos como staff.
O Victor realmente é excepcional! Porém vale relembrar que quando trabalhou na folga ele foi recompensado com outras folgas! E o trabalho a mais que ele fez, foi remunerado!
Sobre algum voluntario ser mandado embora por dormir, nunca aconteceu no Carcavelos Surf hostel!
Enfim, é uma pena que a experiência tenha sido tão ruim para você, desejo que encontre experiências melhores e mais no seu perfil nas próximas!

The position of the hostel was very good, 5 minutes from the beach and near to the station, useful to go for example to Lisbon. The hostel itself is good and everything in the hostel is shared. You have the possibility to meet people from all over the world and learn how to live with them in a shared place. The bedroom of the volunteer is a little too small for 6 people but to me it was good. The work is quite easy and the hours are respected, you just have to do cleanings and reception. I'd recommend this experience to someone who is looking for a calm place but still wants to meet people.

I have made friends for life at this hostel and most of the people were so welcoming and friendly. I will never forget the memories that this place holds for me. Very chilled area which is a couple of min walk to the beach. Perfect location for chilled days and a quick train ride into Lisbon for some nightlife. Thank you friends for making my time in Portugal so special <3
