Staying with Monika and her family is a wonderful experience! She really is a gem, and does everything she can to make sure volunteers enjoy their stay. You need to be punctual and productive, but the work is simple and goes by quickly. The accommodation is comfortable and you have the company of a very cute cat 🐱 Monika is very generous with her time, I enjoyed our evening chats, going for walks in nature and sharing meals together with her family and friends. Recommend 100% 💗

I had an amazing time at the farm! From the start Monika and her family made me feel so welcomed. The work is enjoyable, and hours are exactly as described (with some flexibility too!) Volunteers have their own space which is clean and comfortable, and shared with their adorable cat called Missen! Monika was such a kind and fun host, who really went the extra mile to make us feel at home; taking us on hikes and introducing us to friends and family. Monika cooked for us on some days (😋) and others we cooked for ourselves- this was a perfect balance. Monika, Jure and Filip, thank you! 🫶

If I could give 10 stars-I would! Hours are communicated and respected, work is exactly as described- easy and meditative. There was plenty of free time and Monika & Jure went out of their way to give us lifts to and from the nearby lake and train stations. They are a kind, funny and generous family- after 3 months of backpacking it was nice to be somewhere that felt like a home. We shared great meals, went on hikes, met their family and friends, and spent lots of time together. This experience meant a lot to me, and I recommend it to everyone. Monika, Jure, Filip, Čarli & Missen- Hvala!

I cannot fault my experience at the farm. Monika is an incredible, kind host who put in the extra mile to connect with the myself and the other volunteers. The work is fair and flexible with plenty of time to do your own thing. Monika's family and community are lovely and inviting. It felt like I had taken a pit stop home on my travels. I can't recommend this place more 💗💗💗

I had the best time on the farm! It was my first experience and surpassed my expectations! The work is aligned with the description, it is not hard and I enjoyed picking the raspberries. You just have to be aware it starts early in the morning and being punctual is important. Monika and family are amazing hosts! They were so open and available to the volunteers, communication was clear, we shared good times together and I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday on the farm! I highly recommend it! I had the most amazing time here! The host family is incredibly welcoming and you will feel right at home here, no matter how long you stay. The farm was amazing and there is also so many day trips you can take during your time off. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or want to hear more! Monica and Jure deserve more than 5 stars. They are very friendly, kind and willing to help you with everything. Besides the work and traveling I also enjoyed conversations with them, their family and their friends. Everybody tries to make you happy, answer all your questions and explain their traditions. Working hours were fair (5 hours/day) and we never worked longer. They are also willing to give you a bike for a trip or sometimes they pick me up to the nearby city from where I could continue for my trip. All in all, you will make a great choice if you decide for this farm.

I don't have a single (even slightly) negative thing to say about this experience. Monika and her family were awesome, kind and welcoming. You really feel like a part of the family. Both work itself and the hours are completely fitting for what you're getting, anything less and I would feel like I'm ripping them of. Work is not that hard and is even quite enjoyable. You get to spend time with great people in beautiful nature along tons of raspberries, cows, chickens, kitten and the sweetest dog ever! What more would you want?

I had the most amazing time at Monika's the farm. Monika and her family were so welcoming, kind and generous. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and help you out with anything you need. The property and surrounding scenery is beautiful, and Celje is a lovely town to spend free time in. the farm picking and weeding tasks were really enjoyable! The farm is a perfect place to relax and enjoy peaceful nature. There are also plenty of things to do during the day, like lovely walks around the property or helping deliver raspberries around town. The experience was wonderful! Monica and everyone on the farm made me feel so welcomed. Monica is the kindest person, she will make you laugh all the time. She became a great friend. The farm is really beautiful. You will be surrounded by nature everywhere. The chickens and cows are amazing. She has a little kitten and a dog, who is the best behaved dog I've ever met. The work is really not that hard once you get used to it. The hardest part was probably the heat, so you wake up early to avoid it. It was actually quite calming and fun. Go! You will love it.
