The Experience

Our organic farm is located in east Slovenia (near Celje) on a beautiful hill. In 2014 our family decided to move from town to the countryside. Since our movement, the farm keeps on growing. We started with cattle breeding. Had the best time and loved every bit of my time here. This was my first volunteering experience and honestly I couldn't have asked for a better start. Monika was so personable and really took the time to get to know everyone, making sure we all felt comfortable and had fun. The work itself was easy, varied (so it never felt repetitive), and the hours were really fair with plenty of free time to explore. The surrounding area is beautiful, and Monika and Jure often helped us get around so we could see more of it. I'd definitely recommend this experience to anyone — I'll 100% be back!! 🩵

I loved my time at the farm! Monika and Jure go out of their way to make sure that everyone has a really positive experience. The tasks were enjoyable and always explained clearly to everyone. The area is beautiful and there are lots of walks around. We had plenty of free time and Monika was always willing to offer suggestions on where we should go and often help us get to places. I would absolutely recommend this volunteering experience!

This has been my absolute favourite Worldpackers experience by far! Monika, Jure & Filip are such a lovely family that I felt right at home with. They are so generous with their time and knowledge, which made this experience very memorable. The work is not difficult and the hours are always respected. There are lots of walks in the surrounding area and opportunities to go into the town/city. This farm is so beautiful and peaceful, especially with all the animals running around! I will definitely be back!

Monica is a respectful host, she respects the working hours. The work is was the morning, and I had plenty of time exploring the nearby areas the rest of the day. I recommend this place if you want to learn about the farm farming or the other businesses of the owners.

Monika and Jure and the most wonderful people! My time on the farm was so fulfilling, it is truly a wonderful spot. The hours are always respected and Monika truly cares about each volunteer, wanting to get to know and spend time with them. The whole family truly went above and beyond for us. From the delicious cooking of Monika and her mum, sightseeing in Celje, giving endless suggestions of what to do and giving so much time out of their very busy lives, and of course walks with the dogs. Be on time, clean, responsible and you will love this experience❤️❤️ thank you!
