The experience was amazing! Iris and other people were kind, always willing to help, open. They made me feel so safe from the very beginning. The atmosphere was magical. I really enjoyed cooking together, our family dinners and long talks. This place is surreal to look at. We lived on a hill with a view on the beautiful village and sea. You can also go to the river, waterfall. The work was physical and quite tiring but it really pays off also for your health. You are surrounded by nature all the time which is great. I learnt a lot there. I will be forever grateful that I got this chance!

Isca is the perfect balance between work and nature. It's a nice place for enjoy the silent of nature, some physical work and a good spot for reseting your mind. Iris is very kind and she's alwayd caring! You will be part of the italian culture for a while. I really recommend this experience! ✨

It is a sensory experience, seeing yourself surrounded by nature, and a social experience, connecting with wonderful people. It was physically and mentally transformative, for the better. I will carry it in my heart as something beautiful. I just left the place and I missed it. It is incomparable.

This was my first worldpackers trip and also my first time visiting Calabria, so I had no idea how my experience would be like. And it turned out to be the best experience I could ever have! Iris is the such a warmhearted, empowering person and not only did I learn about farming, but also about her inspiring life and the beauty of humanity and more. All of these are truly lifetime lessons! Iris communicates clearly about plans/instructions of the task and in the afternoon she sometimes asks us to join her to the market or to the beach:) For nature lovers this place is truly a paradise✨

Iris was an amazing host! She did a really good job of balancing out work and taking the other Worldpackers out to give us a real authentic Italian countryside experience. It was truly a memorable experience!

The host was the nicest and most thoughtful host I have ever met and probably will be for a long time. Place was beautiful and work was good but could get physical at times but you have plenty of time to rest up and enjoy the area. Would recommend this place to everybody if your tryna have a relaxed get away.

I spent two weeks alone in Isca and it was very special ! It surprised me of how beautiful it is there, with so much wild nature around. Iris was the perfect host she is so inspiring and you can really tell that she loves what she does. She was so kind to me, sometimes she dropped me off to the beach and sometimes we went to markets together. I really liked working with Iris she was really considerate, we took breaks in between and she often prepared some snacks and coffee. I already want to come back! Thank you Iris and your family for making these two weeks special, I will never forget it!

Iris is truly a fallen angel and her home is the most magical place. Being immersed in the natural energies is such a peaceful experience the work could be quite physically demanding but it's rewarding and as long as you show some initiative and work with each other it's a real pleasant experience. Iris does her upmost to make the time away not only work but she really cares about you and your growth telling you everything about the nature around and really involving you in the local isca culture. Overall i couldn't of asked for a more fulfilled adventure. Just be weary of the wild pigs!!

I truly believe that Iris is the perfect host for any volunteer . The town of Isca along with her property are great for being immersed in nature and getting to experience the Calabrian lifestyle . Everyone is very friendly in town and Iris will not hesitate to help you practice your Italian or teach you something new everyday . She is extremely knowledgeable about the work she does and you can find any and every sort of vegetable, fruit or herb growing somewhere on her farm. The tasks are explained very well and are quite fun to do . Her family and her dogs are so much fun too!

Iris is an absolute angel and the experience at Isca was truly perfect. She's kind, incredibly hard - working and a visionary regarding all things nature. For our first world packers experience we couldn't have asked for anything better. We truly felt at home and cannot wait to visit again as soon as possible. The work can be quite challenging but it's so rewarding and you gain experience that you wouldn't gain anywhere else. It's a truly beautiful place and we will miss both Kronos and Dell so much.
