The work was not too hard and most of the days even shorter than agreed, so i had plenty of time exploring the area and exchanging with the rest of the stuff and the regular guests. 10/10 would do it again anytime!

I had such a great experience at the guest house! Everyone is so nice and made me feel so welcome :) The hostel itself is really great and the cleaning tasks are straightforward and you are provided with everything you need to do your job well. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone and I hope I can go back someday!!

Everyone at Aki made me feel super welcomed and I've made some great relationships with them! The work does take a little getting used to especially if you're not used to it but it gets better over time:)

It is a great experience to get in touch with the locals and getting to know international travelers. The work is super light and the place very comfortable, you really feel like at home! I recommend it totally to anyone who wants to have a fun time and learn about Hiroshima and Japan.

What an awesome experience. The staff was awesome, the other volunteers where awesome, the place awesome, everything. The task is just cleaning but once you finish, everyone is ready to have a good time and that allowed me to create meaningful connections... Plus they have bicycles and washing machine for the crew with no extra cost. I'm very grateful for my time there and the people I met.

My work experience at the guest house was really funny. Thanks to Masashi, Ryoko, Jeanne, Kim, Christin and Ilan for the time spent together. If you are looking a quiet place, Hiroshima and Aki are for you; if instead you are more a "party animal" I will suggest to you to choose another city such as Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka. Usually the work hours and the tasks that need to be done are doable. However, sometimes I felt that the work was "too much" probably for the lack of stuff, one or two more people could be useful ( a more careful "hiring process" to the volunteers chosen is also necessary)

I volunteered at the 36hostel which is situated near the Peace Memorial Park. I feel like my work performance wasn't too stellar due to me being overwhelmed and tired but the staff was nice. I'm really grateful for their lenience and for helping me with the tasks!

I had a very great time at the guest house, but mostly because of the staff. Everyone was super nice to me and especially Hiro and Rei, who I worked with most of the time, will stay in my heart! I first started cleaning at the guest house, wich is a very easy task but also not so exiting, but after a few days I started helping out at the bar and did check-in together in 36 Hostel (wich is a second Hostel from the same owner). On the Bar I met people from all over the world and I really enjoyed my time there. But I also had lots of free time to see Hiroshima or go to Miyajima. Thank you for everything! ;)
