The hostel was my first volunteer experience and I had a really great time there. The hostel is located in a very quiet and central place where you can easily walk to all the places of interest. The girls at reception are the best🥹🫶 they make you feel at home from day one and I loved that! The housekeeping tasks are nothing out of the ordinary and normally you work with 2 to 4 people besides yourself to make it more bearable. The only "but" is that the volunteer room is right next to a classroom and the kids are a bit noisy in the mornings but it's not the hostel's fault.

Catalina is a extremly friendly and kind girl. She was a great addition to our housekeeping with her cleaning skills and positive energy. Catalina did all her tasks thoroughly without any complaints. Big recommendation for any facility that is looking for a hardworking volunteer and a friend.

I had a good time at the hostel! The whole staff is very welcoming and I was lucky to have stayed at the same time as other amazing volunteers ! The shifts were pretty easy and you could sometimes finish early. The nightshifts are easier than the dayshift and allow you to see more of the city. I do have to mention however that I was a bit disappointed by the volunteer rooms because we had to walk three flights of stairs to get to a bathroom and for some reason there was a school for high schoolers next to the volunteer room so sleeping past 8 is impossible. There were also no lockers.

It was my first experience with worldpackers, at first I thought I would connect with a lot of people, make a lots of friends and interact with more volunteers. But I believe I was just unlucky, when I arrived a volunteer was leaving. And when I was about to leave, another volunteer arrived. So we did not have time to create bonds. If you want to make friends, you need to give the first step, otherwise the guests will think you are a regular cleaning lady and even sometimes ignore you. The girls from the staff were amazing.

The team at the hostel are all really kind and welcoming. My working hours were respected and communicated well. The tasks were simple and straight forward. I got the opportunity to da bunch of travel on my days off which was amazing. The hostel isn't as social as I would have liked it to be and I found it hard to connect with other travellers. This is especially important to me as I'm backpacking for most of this year. Zagreb is a really beautiful city with heaps of coffee shops and parks so I really enjoyed my time chilling in Zagreb.

My experience as a volunteer at the hostel was rewarding. The girls make you feel at home all the time. They comply with the agreed schedules and are flexible with the days off. I recommend the hostel 100%. A warm hug to all the staff, I hope to see you soon.

I couldn't have wished for a better first experience than at the hostel. From the moment i arrived, i was made to feel welcome by the receptionists and the other volunteers. Everything was very well organized, the work was never hard, and i had a lot of time to explore Zagreb and even cities nearby. It's the wonderful people and the sense of community we created though that will make me remember this experience forever.

C'était ma première expérience de bénévolat et tout s'est très bien passé. J'ai été très bien accueilli et l'équipe d'employés sur place est très gentille. L'ambiance est très cool. Les tâches ne sont pas difficiles. Tout est fait pour que le séjour se passe au mieux. Le planning des volontaires est fait en fonction des envies de chacun, ce qui m'a permis d'aller passer quelques jours en Bosnie par exemple. L'hostel est bien situé, au centre de Zagreb. Merci encore à Dijana et à toute l'équipe pour ces trois semaines, c'était génial. Je repasserai vous voir avec plaisir !

Literally the best!!! the hostel has a special place in my heart now ❤️ Everyone is so sweet and helpfull I felt right at home. I recommend 100% the experience is so worth it. Work is easy and there are many fun things to do in Zagreb at any time of the year. The worst is literally when u have to leave. Sending love to everyone at the hostel and big thank you for making my time here the best<3
