If you wanna reach the legendary main square in a minute and yet be accommodated in the pieceful yard OR party in the most famous street with bunch of clubs OR receive the best local and balcanic food recommendations OR visit Zagreb's best museums, we are your home-away to do it.
Considering our hostel is not a party hostel, we can offer you a pleasent stay while being surrounded with a team who more feels like family then collegues, who cherish the communication, respect and honesty more than anything.

The hostel is large and requires support across private and shared rooms, as well as cleaning tasks in common areas such as the kitchen, canteen, and laundry. The building has five floors without an elevator, so the work involves some physical effort. On the positive side, the team is supportive and allows access to food for personal breakfast or breaks. Regarding schedules, it is advisable to clarify shift distribution in advance, as the 5x2 system may involve rotating morning and evening shifts.

Unfortunately, we left with a very bad taste in our mouths. Despite high expectations, our volunteer experience was disappointing due to the disrespectful and aggressive behavior of one staff member, which created a toxic environment. We also experienced a situation that made us feel unsafe. ( homeless people were staying and one of them touched me) Because of this, we decided to leave earlier than planned.

That said, the organization itself was kind and supportive, and we believe this was a matter of bad luck. Special thanks to Stef and Dijana for their kindness.

Hostel Bureau is the perfect place to stay if you’re in Zagreb. I was very happy during my stay and would like to thank the entire staff, who were extremely kind and helped me with everything I needed from the first to the last day. I also want to thank all the volunteers who were with me during this time. I learned a lot and will remember this experience forever. I already miss it and hope to come back soon. Hvala.

Good overall experience in Zagreb. It was a solid first hostel volunteering experience. Breakfast was included, which was nice. The work can be quite demanding at first, but you adapt quickly. The staff were friendly. Not the most social hostel, but still a positive and worthwhile experience.
