Mani was a great host, he makes sure things are provided for while being upbeat and warm, and he's great to play card games with. The hostel has a great atmosphere and I met lots of amazing people while I was there. The work was relaxed and social. It's also a good opportunity to explore the Cameron Highlands, there are plenty of beautiful hiking trails around that I was able to explore before or after my shifts.

We had a good time in the hostel, met so many people and explore the area. The work is chill by itself and you always have people around to help you if you are struggling. Played so many games and hikes trails. I would recommend to everyone to volunteer at the hostel.

This location is great to volunteer, but make sure to stick to your hours because sometimes you can do more without noticing. It's a social place so expect to meet a lot of people and enjoy knowing the locals and the different places to eat. I recommend it for the learning experience about Cameron Highlands and personal growth. The people that I met in this hostel made my travel so meaningful.

Mani was a great host; we played badminton together a few times, which I loved. The work is varied enough to be engaging but never so stressful as to overload you. And we found Mani was always at hand to help with problems or queries. It was a great experience as we had lots of time off to go out for meals, explore the area on bikes and to go on the amazing hikes. The location is probably the best you can have in the Highlands and it was nice being in such a social but peaceful hostel. Learned loads about working at a hostel and so would recommend this workaway hugely to others!! Thanks Mani!!

We had a wonderful experience volunteering at the hostel. The tasks were very chilled and Mani was always around to help if there were any issues. The hostel itself has a really relaxed friendly vibe and we had a really great time getting to know other travellers and volunteers. The location in the Cameron Highlands is absolutely fantastic and we had lots of opportunities to go on some amazing hikes in our free time. I would highly recommend volunteering at the hostel!

It was a great experience. My first time volunteering in a hostel and I definitely learn so many things. The hours were as mentioned in the description and I never found myself having to work extra. However I do have to say that I didn't finish the time we agreed upon. It 2 weeks but I only stayed for a week. Partly because in the beginning I didnt feel as welcomed as I thought I would. Some of the staff were quite aloof and gave me the impression that my existence there was a mistake or not wanted even. With time I learned that that was merely a trait of their personality.

The volunteer I did was about cooking and I liked being able to see my fellow volunteers appreciate it. It's a very quiet volunteer. You can take advantage of playing sports with the owner. The owner helped me buy the food to cook.

The hostel's receptionist duties are very simple, and there's always someone around to ask questions. It's a very quiet place, nestled in a natural setting, so I would recommend it for those who want to take a break and take the opportunity to walk. If you like sports, you can play volleyball and badminton. Finally, if you can share this volunteering experience with other volunteers, it greatly enriches the experience, and the time spent away from work is more enjoyable and shared.

The room was okay, no fan or locker for bag, and no toilet paper in the bathroom. My first shift was really good, I was trained, and enjoyed it. My work hours were okay the first week, however on my second week I was scheduled for 6 days, and I left on the 7th day I was scheduled in for 'special shift' - I was taken to a store away from town to clean dirty shelves, and treated awfully. I spoke to him and he seemed ok but disappointed I was uncomfortable. No other volunteers were made to go. Why me? I left soon after as he made me feel not welcome at all, and treated me different

I didn't put a review on for her because she only stayed with me for 3 days.

Before El arrived at our hostel, I made sure on WhatsApp that if she only wanted to stay for a week, I could only give her one day off.
As an addition, her communication was not the greatest, so it was difficult to talk and interact with her.
