I highly recommend this experience to everyone. First we started every day by taking Tom and Jerry to the garden for about 20 minutes, and then we went to work. The task were very varied, from cleaning the vans, attending customers, fixing dents, painting.. I especially recommend it to people who enjoy doing activities en group and living with others, as we all lived in an apartment together, and that's essential. I couldn't be more grateful for having the opportunity to live this experience. It has been very enriching , personally and professionally. Jo, thank you for everything!

I had a really great time here! We were really like a family, we cooked and ate together, talking about everything. Jo sometimes made healthy juice for us! He really cares about how the volunteers feel. And he is really generous! The work hours are never over 6 hours, I learned a lot from the work, for example, painting, repairing the car, even building the camper from scratch! And at home there is piano, violin and Ukulele, so if you like music, this place will be even much funnier for you. Some weekend we also ate out together!! I will miss the time here and would recommend you to come:)

Uno de los mejores recuerdos 💕,para toda la vida. Jo ha sido una persona maravillosa con la que he aprendido mucho, además de tener mucha paciencia con mi inglés . Las chicas que he conocido allí son amigas para siempre. Los gatos, con personalidades muy distintas, han robado mi corazón. Jerry mi favorito por siempre. El trabajo es tal como se describe ,sacar a los gatos por la mañana, y ayudar a Jo con la limpieza o reparación de las el camping. El mejor primer voluntario que he hecho 💖

When they say that here you feel like family, it is the purest truth. Jo's house is a place where you feel comfortable and welcomed. The two cats (Tom & Jerry) are precious, each with their own personality, capturing your heart. Jo is an artist who dedicates his brilliant mind to the business, not for himself, but for animals. The girls I volunteered with were so special that words fail to describe them. I will miss our blanket family so much! 🥹 Jo, it was an honor to be part, and I am absolutely certain that your family grows with each volunteer that comes through here! Best lucky ❤️

My experience at OTC was amazing. Jo and the other volunteers made it feel like home, I miss the dinners and going to escape rooms together, we had such a great time. The job was easy and the hours were respected. We had a lot of free time to explore Edinburgh, and Jo even let us take a van for a day trip, which was awesome. Also, the apartment is very comfortable, and I already miss Tom and Jerry! Thanks, Jo, for the great experience, and I wish you the best! :)

Jo is an absolute amazing person who really strives to make the world a better place. He really cares for all of his volunteers and tries to make everyone feel at home. Sometimes you do go over the allotted hours but that's just life and it's easy work so no one minds and you can get an extra time off the next week. He let me and another volunteer take a van for the day and it was amazing to adventure through Scotland for a bit!

Being a volunteer on the camping was AMAZING I met amazing people and it felt like a family all the time. The job is really easy to do and fast you have a lot of free time to visit Edinburgh or another city also Jo let us take the vans to do trips so you can actually go to the highlands and the isle ( I went into isle arran) Jo has 2 cats Tom and Jerry, I fall in love with Jerry they are both so nice! And really cute 🥰 And Jo it was the best he was really nice with us, we went to a lot of shows all together he makes you feel like you are part of the family! 🫶🏻🫶🏻 I will misss you!!!

I had an amazing time volunteering in the camping ! I spent 5 weeks there and I met several others volunteers that I now consider my friends. Jo was a great host, he always made sure that everything was okay, and that we had everything we needed, he even let us travel on days offs with a van two times. I'm so grateful for this experience and I will forever keep good memories of these weeks. I will also definitely miss Tom and Jerry :)

Esta experiencia estuvo increíble... El trabajo no es difícil pero para mí un gran reto ya que Jo te da la confianza de hablar con los viajeros... Para personas que están aprendiendo inglés 100% recomendado, hablas cada día con viajeros de todo el mundo y pude ver la mejoría antes y después de salir... Aprendí de carros y el camping y el nos dejó usarla 2 veces y noche dormimos con las otras voluntarias en una de las caravanas.... Pero pienso que lo mejor de todo fue conocer a Jo y a los gatos ... El es serio pero detrás de su seriedad hay un ser humana noble y generoso... 1000% recomendado

I had a really nice time in Edinburgh! The work is not hard, and the house is around 30 minutes by bus from the city centre, so you can go there in the afternoons. The city is beautiful and there's a lot of places to visit; I loved it. On the other hand, the house cats are cute and lovely, and Jo is nice and generous; he let us take a van to go camping for a night and it was a really fun experience. In conclusion, this was my first volunteering programme, and I really enjoyed it!
