This has been one of the most wholesome and beautiful experiences I've ever had. The atmosphere at the hostel is warm and welcoming from the guests to the volunteers and the patrones Rodrigo and Nuno, who always make you feel heard and appreciated. I planned to stay for only three weeks, but it turned into two months because of how wonderful this place is. The tasks at the hostel require a medium effort, but they felt easier because we had a well-structured schedule for them. Volunteering at the hostel was one of the best things I ever did. I met the most amazing people from all over the world and had so much fun. Everything went smooth thanks to Nuno and Rodrigo, who were the best hosts and always made sure you're comfortable. The work was absolutely manageable and you have a lot of time to surf or explore the hostel. The hostel felt like a second home and I wish I could've stayed longer. I will definitely come back one day! 🫶🏻🥹

A Great experience, all staff and volunteers are welcoming & friendly. The working hours can seem long but the work itself is easy, fair & flexible. The facilities of the hostel are great, with spaces to work/study or relax by the pool . All the managers are friendly and helpful, Rodrigo was always available to talk and discuss or to ask any questions. Defiantly recommend this experience Thanks Nuno for choosing me for this experience :-) Ziggyx

I had an amazing time at the hostel. If you want to learn how to surf in your free time definitely recommend. The people that I met were amazing and it always felt like a second home. Nuno and Rodrigo are always happy to help with everything. The hostel is really close to the beach and the train station so seeing new places is really easy. I recommend this place to anyone that wants to be around people and have the most fun in their life🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

I had a great time at the hostel! Nuno and Rodrigo made me feel right at home from the start, and we as volunteers made a family together! The shifts were nice, just the right amount of work. I mostly did the AM shifts as i am a morning person which was loads of fun as it consisted of some hard work early in the morning and some more chill work towards noon! All in all it's a great place to stay, the hostel is very new so the basic needs are well maintained and the people are great!

This was my first experience with worldpackers and it was amazing. I would definitely recommend it to everyone! Nuno, Rodrigo, the staff and the other volunteers were very friendly and easy going and the place felt like home. The work is not too difficult and requests are taken into account. You still have enough free time to explore the hostel or surrounding cities, surf or spend time with the other volunteers. I love this place and the atmosphere and couldn't have imagined it better! :)

This was my first worldpackers experience and it couldn't have gone better! I felt so welcome within the first day i already felt comfortable and like i was at home, i enjoyed my stay here so much and would recommend it a million times, i made incredible memories with people from all around the world! Best hostel ever ❤️❤️❤️

I don't have enough words to describe my experience at the hostel, I can say that it was one of the best moments of my life and that the memories I made there will be eternal. The work carried out was flexible, fun and taught me a lot during the 2 months I stayed at the hostel. It was one of the best experiences of my life. You immediately feel part of a big family. The work is adequate and not too heavy. The shifts are well divided and you have plenty of free time to surf, visit the hostel and much more. Nuno, Tomas and Rodrigo made me feel at home, whatever "problem" or request there was we talked about it and solved it all together.What the hostel tries to do is just that, make you feel in a big family and it was an honor to have been able to contribute to creating this atmosphere. Truly a one of a kind experience!! I loved staying and working here, it felt like a home away from home. The staff at the hostel and the hostel as well as the other volunteers created a close and fun loving community. The memories I made here will never be forgotten and was perfect for a first time volunteer. All of the little flaws were what made this experience truly unique and fun. Nuno looks out for all the volunteers well-being to ensure they are happy and enjoying living in carcavelos. If you want to learn or already enjoy surfing this is a great opportunity!
