The hostel was my first Worldpackers experience and I wouldn't change it for the world! It has truly been a roller coaster. Coming into this experience I didn't know what to expect but I have learned so much from the other volunteers and spent time building relationships with people that will last a lifetime! If you like a social environment both with guests and other volunteers this is the place to be.

Anna is great, super responsible and pro active, she learned really quickly and did everything well, I could rest easy in the mornings knowing Anna was on shift.
Great and distinct personality we definitely recommend her to any team!

My experience with the hostel was wonderful! I worked at the hostel, so I stayed at the beach while a lot of the volunteers worked in the hostel. The work was all very simple and everything expected of us was extremely reasonable. The atmosphere was great, the other volunteers were fun to be around, and the managers were kind, respectful, helpful, and always stayed true to their words. I met many people who were returners to the hostel or extended their stay long terms and I completely understand why, it's the kind of place that's hard to leave. Thank you for the amazing experience!

Staying at the the hostel was a great time. The managers and volunteers were very welcoming and make sure you get the full Portuguese experience. The workload is relaxed and they make sure you have plenty of time to surf or explore other cities/places in Portugal. Definitely recommend volunteering here to anyone interested in Portugal or surfing. Hope to be back soon 🤙🏼

The hostel was my first experience with Worldpackers and I couldn't have asked for better! I immediately felt welcomed into the LSH family as soon as I arrived. The managers really care about you and give great recommendations on things to do all over Portugal. The hours/days off were flexible and there was always something fun to do like going surfing, hanging at the pool, and nights out in the hostel with other volunteers and guests! Stay longer than a month if you can! The time will fly by. I'm so grateful for all of my new friends from around the world and I hope to be back!!🩷

Claire is a joy of a person, super friendly and outgoing, really cool vibes.
Her stay with us was really good, she was a really good bar tender.
We definitely recommend her for more experiences she'll be a great addiction anywhere.

I had an absolutely amazing time at the hostel. The managers were so sweet and welcoming. The team of other volunteers that I worked with were so great, I really made friends for life. I learnt how to surf (kind of) and had a blast in every way shape and form! The workdays were what you expected and they were really flexible with what days you want to take off, and which shifts suits you the best. This experience was everything I expected and more and I already miss it and wish that I had more time there :'(

Johanna is incredible, super kind, social and funny.
It was great having her stay with us, she learned everything quickly and well I didn't worry at all when she was on shift.
The only thing we can say his that we wished she stay more time cause her stay was really good.
We definitely recommend her to any team.

I loved everything about my experience with LSH, this place became home. So grateful that I could always rely of the support and openness of the managers, and to have worked with the most incredible family of staff and volunteers. The hostel has a great vibe, is in ideal location, and requesting preferred days off was respected and encouraged, making it very possible to explore the rest of Portugal. I will miss every bit of it 🫶.

Lilli is super kind and mature, she worked really well and was super helpful.
Good things come in small packages, Lilli might be short in stature but she's a big person and her stay was awesome we wished she could 've stayed longer.
We definitely recommend her to any team.

It was my first Worldpackers experience and it was amazing, the lifestyle it's great, I will miss taking surf lessons and being so close to the beach, the tasks were easy and i enjoyed doing the bbqs, everybody was so friendly and I will miss my LSH family, I 100% recommend this place and don't think about applying twice you will love it!

Staying at the the hostel was for sure one of the best experiences I had! You get to know a lot of people from all around the world and create new friendships. There is also a lot of free time, where you can explore portugal. The managers Rodrigo, Nuno and Manel are amazing people, they always take care of the volunteers and the guests and help you everywhere they can. Thank you for everything! Also the work was not too hard, though it can get a bit stressfull when the house is full, but people were always there to help you out, just like a big family🧡 Already missing all of you :(

Couldn't recommend more! If you can stay longer than a month, just do it. The full time staff are awesome, and really accommodating for shift planning etc. All of the other volunteers were so fun and friendly, literally met my soulmate bff. Plus, location is perfectly in between the beach, groceries, and the train. 100000/10

Amazing place to stay, the work was fun with large amounts of variety. The BBQ nights and parties are all amazing You have plenty of time to surf too, with high quality equipment available to borrow whenever you feel like it
