Ioannina is gorgeous and the hostel is nice and homey, with a special mention needed for the rooftop garden. Hours were doable, especially when you have a great co-volunteer like I did (shoutout to Charlotte!!!). I do think Kostas was somewhat cold in the beginning, but that changed over time, like other reviews mentioned too. There is a bit of a language barrier and micromanaging going on at times, but nothing that can't be overcome. His son Vasilis is also very friendly and fun. Altogether the experience was great, and again, I absolutely loved the city!

This was a great experience. Ioaninna is a beautiful old town. I went during the hottest part of the year, which made some of the chores feel a lot more difficult than they would during the rest of the year probably. Kostas is a good man, and I felt very safe and comfortable at the hostel. Communication of how he wanted specific work done was sometimes hard due to language barriers and a bit of frustration. Overall, it was good though and we stuck to the proper amount of hours and days off were flexible, allowing me to go to both Vikos and Meteora, which i highly recommend if you have time

I had a great time in Ioannina. It is a beautiful city with really nice people. I had fun both in the hostel and outside of it! It was nice because you can enjoy nature as well as the city. Kostas was a great host and I enjoyed my time in Ioannina!! I totally recommend this experience!

Heeyyy ,it was my first time volunteering with the worldpackers and let's just say it was amazing. Kostas and his sons was very friendly. The work was flexible depending by the visitors and easy. I highly recommend this place !! Also Ioannina at Christmas was magical and cozy . It's a city that you don't want to miss !!

I loved staying in Ioannina. Kostas is very nice and was always happy to share meals. The tasks were quite simple and Kostas was always reachable when I needed help. He wants tasks to be done in a certain way but always told me very nicely. The room I stayed in had a bunkbed which I shared with the other volunteer. All in all Ioannina was a great place (one of the prettiest in Greece) and Kostas was a great host :)

This place was absolutely amazing! Kostas was really nice and it definitely felt like home. I met so many great people in the hostel which was really cool. The hours and tasks were exactly as described and also really easy to do. Kostas and his family also made us so many homemade greek meals which was really nice ❤️ Would definitely recommend this place!

The hostel very charming and sweet. Kostas is a nice guy, who always has a story about the history of the area to tell. He makes sure to stick to the agreed number of your working hours. Thank you for the nice stay.

Kostas was a great host. He was very understanding and easy to talk to when learning how to do the tasks. The hours were good and everything was as stated on the worldpackers website. He even made us some tradition greek meals to try sometimes which were really nice. I would totally recommend this to people who want to work, meet new people and explore the local town. Ioannina was really pretty and there's alot of shops and hikes to do. We spent 3 weeks there which was the perfect amount of time to see everything and really immerse yourself in the culture.

💙The experience was exactly what I expected,wanted, needed (and probably even more). 💙Kostas and Giorgos are very helpful, they will take care of you, your needs and very quickly you will feel at home there. 💙The work is easy, you can quickly get into the duties. And the part at the reception is particularly interesting because you get to meet a lot of interesting travellers from all over the world. 💙Long story short-I will miss this place and have very good memories of my stay here.💙 👉 Apply and keep your fingers crossed to be selected, because it's a big honour🤞
