The Experience

The hostel is located in the Old Town of Ioannina. Within a few minutes walking you can visit the castle of the town, the lake and a pedestrial with many Bars, Cafés and Restaurants. We are looking for a friendly and reliable volunteer to help with the daily business of the hostel. Tasks include house keeping as well as Check-In/Check-Out and socializing with the customers. We also provide groceries and a private 2bed dormitory for the volunteers

Had an amazing time with Kostas! The jobs were easy and still had plenty of free time. He is very laid back and understanding which made things easier! He cooked meals for us to enjoy which was much appreciated and also had good time meeting other travelers staying at the hostel. His cat Babis is also just such nice company. Thank you Kostas for an amazing time!

Kostas was a great host! he has a lot of knowledge on the local culture and the activities to do around the town. The work is easy, 11:30am we start cleaning - this is changing beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming and mopping - until 1pm. Then one volunteer stays at the hostel working reception from 1-4:30, then switch with another volunteer for 4:30-8. He's buys groceries that volunteers are free to use and he also cooks! We had some delicious meals here. On our days off we went to vikos gorge (definitely a must-do) and went to the island on ioannina lake. Overall a great experience

I had an incredible experience! The work was very easy, and in my free time, I was able to visit the whole city, which is very friendly. I especially loved this hostel because it's very easy to meet people, and I met some amazing other volunteers.

My experience was amazing! Kostas was such a wonderful host and Ionannina is a lovely city. As my first Worldpackers experience it was amazing. Just one thing to consider for other volunteers: you will have a lot of time alone due to the volunteers different working hours. But the city and the area is beautiful so time goes by fast.

I really enjoyed my time in loannina! It's a beautiful town with a calm atmosphere and lots to discover. The tasks were easy and fair and the schedule gave me plenty of time to explore and relax. Kosta, the manager, was very helpful, understanding and accommodating. He made sure everything ran smoothly and was always there if I needed anything. He also provides food, which was a big plus and really appreciated during my stay. I'm very grateful for my experience and for the people I met. Thank you Kosta for making it all so easy and enjoyable!
