Mabel and Jennifer (the hosts) were really the best, very helpful, kind and welcoming. The tasks varied according to each person's wishes and abilities. We didn't have much crafting experience and they were very helpful in learning how to use the tools. Don't be afraid of insects, there are lots of them around!

A big thank you to Jennifer and Mabel ! This was a great experience where I learned a lot. We felt very welcomed by the hosts and the other volunteers. The tasks are various and adapted to everyone's abilities. I would recommend this experience to everyone, just be prepared for the nature and the bugs 😉

Jennifer and Mabel were so nice, and very patient with my lack of Spanish and just being new to the jungle environment. Their place is beautiful and there is a lot to experience here. They feed you very well and the work is fun. The work can be hard only because of the heat, but it's only three hours a day so it goes by fairly quick. There were only three other volunteers when I was here so it was pretty quiet and peaceful, I'd recommend bringing a book or something to pass the time.

I had a great experience at the farm monte. i meet some local people which where super nice and practiced some spanish. I got to know local dishes and had a great time with the other travelers.

Hermosa experiencia, Jenifer y Mabel super amables en todo momento, siempre dispuestas a compartir, agradecido por haber sido parte de su proyecto. Un lugar donde realmente se conecta con la naturaleza y la tranquilidad. Único disgusto con la voluntaria encargada de hacer la comida, casi siempre de mal humor y no era de decir bien las cosas, espero que se contagie un poco del pura vida 😂

Mi experiencia de este voluntariado fue espectacular en muchos aspectos. Estar rodeada de naturaleza y sentir siempre una paz fue realmente hermoso. Jennifer y Mabel demostraron ser excelentes anfitrionas ofreciendo recomendaciones para actividades fuera de la finca, o incluso organizándolas ellas mismas dentro de esta. Mi estancia fue inolvidable, brindándome tiempo para conectar conmigo misma y conocer la cultura tica. Guápiles, al ser un lugar pequeño y menos turístico como otros lugares de CR, te permite sumergirte en la auténtica cultura local costarricense.

The host jennifer and may were very nice and accommodating. The work could be a little hard but not bad because it was only 3 hours. It was a great experience to meet new people and I would recommend doing it to help out at there farm! The only cons were the bugs so bring alot of bug spray and my tent was small but fine to sleep in.

I really enjoyed my stay at Mabel and Jennifer's Finca, located in a quaint, local town surrounded by nature. There are several grocery stores in walking distance, or you can pushbike to the city and nearby attractions. The ladies are very accomodating, friendly and informative, and they have the friendliest animals that will visit you each day. The work can break a sweat at times, but it was varied each day and only lasted 3 hours with breaks. I was the only volunteer there during the low season, but it was exactly what I needed to relax and recharge my social battery

My stay with Jennifer was everything I expected ! The farm was so perfect and quaint, so many animals and nature all around. Jennifer, her wife and the other volunteers were so great, we really got to experience the local culture through food music and activities. Would recommend the stay to anyone looking to volunteer in nature!
