My time here was everything I hoped for and more! Jennifer and Mabel are great hosts and treated me with respect, honesty, and care. They create a very trusting environment where the expectations are clear and everyone is equipped to do their part. I really enjoyed the sense of community among all the volunteers, which extended also to Jennifer and Mabel's friends and family. This was a great opportunity to practice Spanish in a casual, yet very effective way. I loved my stay and would recommend them to anyone! :-)

Mi estadía en la granja Monte fue genial, a pesar de estar solo 1 semana pude conocer a otras voluntarias increibles y pude conectar con la naturaleza y conocer Costa Rica desde otra perspectiva, no tan la granja. Mabel y Jennifer son muy amables y la comida era muymuy rica. Un buen lugar para desconectar de la vida tipica de sociedad, y conectar con la nsturaleza y cultura local. Pd lleven mucho repelente!! aunque igual les van a picar los mosquitos, y cuidado con pisar hormigueros jajajaj mala experiencia

I had the best experience on the finca! Jennifer and Mabel are the most wonderful hosts and made everyday special. The farm itself is also stunning and the work we do was exciting!! I loved everything about the farm Monte!

My stay at the Finca was truly amazing! The Hosts Jennifer and Marbel were so nice and caring. I really felt welcomed and apreciated and they gave us volunteers everything we needed. I loved being surrounded by the nature, seeing wild animals and the work was fun. I was able to improve my spanish and got to experience the real live in Costa Rica! Big recommendation! 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Realmente me encanto mi tiempo en la finca, Jennifer y Mabel fueron excelentes personas, muy empaticas conmigo, en especial por estar atentas a ayudar y resolver dudas siempre están ahí presentes, además de eso me encanto conocer a toda su familia en un evento familiar y probar comida típica del país ❤️ me voy con el corazón lleno de tan hermosa experiencia.

Staying at the Finca was truly amazing! While being constantly in touch with nature and being around a ton of different animals it really is a unique experience! Jennifer and Mabel are the best hosts and great people! I truly enjoyed my stay at the farm Monte. It's perfect to get to know locals and costa rican culture because there's almost no tourists near town. While there's not so much to do in the area it is a really chill place to stay at and i would highly recommend it to everyone loving nature!

La estancia en la granja Monte es ideal para personas que quieran conectar con la naturaleza, para aislar-se de la ciudad y para disfrutar en comunidad de los voluntarios que se encuentran. Te dan mucha flexibilidad con escoger proyectos. Jennifer y Mabel son geniaaaales!!! Nuestra estancia no pudo ser mejor, la comida super rica y ambiente hermoso. Repetiríamos sin duda!

This was my first WorldPackers trip and this was a really unique first experience! Jennifer and Mabel were very welcoming and generous hosts. I was impressed by their flexibility to adapt to various situations and make my stay as comfortable as possible. The work was agreed upon: gardening, cleaning up farm areas and the pool and assembling/disassembling things. They have a lot of animals and plenty of places to explore on their farm, and it was in close proximity to a grocery store, shops, etc. The humidity and mosquitoes were expected but still be mentally and physically prepared!

This was my first worldpackers experience and It absolutely could not have been better! Jennifer and Mabel are amazing hosts that are very laid back and cool! The work was simple and ranged from doing field work to cleaning up areas! So many cute animals on their property and it was the most peaceful atmosphere at night! I met some very good friends and would overall recommend this experience ! Make sure to bring a good rain jacket , plenty of bug spray and after bite cream! Also ask Mabel for a personalized the farm Monte shirt!

I stayed at the farm Monte for 3 and a half weeks and really enjoyed my time. The work was very manageable as it was only 3 hours everyday, but be prepared for the heat and ants/mosquitos. I met a lot of other amazing travelers here and we were able to find things to do together with help from Jennifer and Mabel's suggestions. There's not a ton to do in the area but I really enjoyed just relaxing on the beautiful property. We all sat together for each meal which was really nice and it was easy to make myself at home!
