Hola! Fue mi primer voluntariado y debo decir que fue una experiencia magnífica, el trabajo es un poco demandante en el aspecto físico, pero al igual que otros, podría confirmar que el amor que los mismos perritos te brindan es lo que te anima a seguir, creo que es importante hablarles con mucho amor desde un comienzo a los perritos para lograr acercarte a ellos, ellos te escuchan y te sienten! La labor que se realiza realmente es muy linda. La experiencia es única! Conocí gente increíble! El lugar es precioso, así que disfruten de todas las cosas simples de la vida junto a los perritos! <3

Estefany realizó el voluntariado por 2 semanas, cuidando de nuestros perros, también participó de un evento externo. Siempre fue muy dedicada y responsable, sabe hablar inglés por lo que pudo comunicarse con otros voluntarios extranjeros. Agradecemos su tiempo y labor!

I had an absolutely incredible experience at Casa Vida. It is located in a small town called Acopampa which is in the middle of Carhuaz and Huaraz. The whole area is beautiful and it was so fun to spend my days with all of the dogs at the shelter. Definitely be ready to work hard but all of the love you receive from the dogs is well worth it! On your off days you can go to one of the many lagunas in the area or explore the towns and shop for delicious fruit. I hope to return again someday, maybe to adopt!

Muy buena experiencia con el refugio. Además de la magnífica ubicación al pie de las montañas, el trabajo me enseñó mucho, los perros eran increíbles y muy tiernos, también fue genial compartirlo con otros voluntarios internacionales y conocer mucha gente. Gracias a Jess y su marido por la experiencia.

La experiencia de ser voluntario en el refugio es sumamente necesaria para aquellos de ustedes que aman los animales y quieren conocer más sobre el interior del Perú! Las actividades con los perros van desde limpiar hasta caminar por los hermosos bosques. Sin mencionar la infraestructura que Jessica brinda a los voluntarios, con camas cómodas, internet de calidad y alimentación básica. Muy recomendado!

¡Mi experiencia en el refugio fue maravillosa! Aunque el trabajo puede ser físicamente demandante y a veces agotador, cada esfuerzo vale la pena al recibir el amor incondicional de todos los perros. Gracias a Jessica y al refugio por darme la oportunidad de colaborar en este proyecto tan bonito ☺️

Durante las dos semanas que estuvimos en el refugio hemos podido comprobar la increible labor que Jessica, Melani y el equipo de voluntarios realizan dia a dia para conseguir una mejor vida a todos esos perritos adorables. Los turnos de trabajo son geniales, siendo exigentes pero gratificantes. El tiempo que se pasa con los perros es increible y te permite conectar con ellos y darle todo el cariño y amor que se merecen. Las instalaciones del hotel donde nos hospedamos son de lo mejor, así como el ambiente que se respira con todos los voluntarios y con Jessica. Sin duda lo recomiendo al 100%.

Volunteering in the shelter was beyond my expectations. They really do an amazing job with the dogs and the comunity. Is a hard job, but it worths and time flies! I definetely want to go back some day and contribute more.

I had an amazing time here. You will have to clean a lot, but its totally worth it! The dogs are treated well and they give so much love, it was really hard to leave them. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, and there's always a lot of international travellers to work with. In the area there are lots of beautiful hikes you can do on your days off. I really recommend this experience if you love dogs.

This was a very nice experience. The dogs are treated well , the hours and free time were as agreed, and they allowed some flexibility when I had to change a shift. The work is dirty and quite physical , so this is something the volunteers have to be ready for, but if you like dogs it is totally worth it. Also they give you boots , gloves and a vest for work. The hotel where we stayed is nice and clean. There are some basic stuff to prepare meals, like pasta& rice, the rest you can purchase there. Laundry is 10 soles, but you buy treats for the dogs, so everyone wins:). The area is beautiful

I had a really positive experience and asked to stay an extra week as I was enjoying it so much. I became really connected to the dogs. They've all loving and have their own personalities which makes the tough work all worth the while. A lot of other travellers passing through so always a nice community to work and relax with. The hosts themselves were friendly and welcoming too. A great experience if you love dogs!
