Todo es un 10. Los horarios, las camas, las duchas, los espacios, las vistas, y me quedo corto. Las actividades con los perros requieren de atención y dedicación, pero es un lugar precioso para uno depositar su energía. Tuve un pequeño inconveniente personal y los anfitriones se adaptaron y portaron de maravilla conmigo, espero volver algún día. Mil gracias!

I volunteered at the shelter for a month and had the most wonderful time. Kishor and Jessica offer a family-style environment with lots of group interactions and joint meals. I especially enjoyed the pizza nights! The work is physical and hard but I felt appreciated by everyone, plus all the dogs are incredible. We also took some of the dogs and did the Laguna 513 hike which was a great day out. I really loved my time at the shelter and it was very hard to say goodbye. I'm sure it won't be the last time I volunteer here!

This was a wonderful experience. Hard work. But wonderful. So much love from the dogs everyday and so many opportunities to spend time with them besides the work at the shelter! A big thanks to Kishor and Jessica for creating this space, sharing your knowledge, all the fun evenings and for making me feel welcomed 😊

The work being done at the shelter is incredible for the dogs in the community. The ~90 dogs at the shelter are well looked after and loved by both the owners, Kishor and Jessica, and the volunteers. Although the work can be dirty (lots of cleaning dog poo) it's immensely important to the dogs and is absolutely worth it for them. Kishor and Jessica additionally provide an extremely welcoming environment for volunteers by providing lunches, morning snacks, and occasionally dinners with volunteer assistance. Overall it's a nice and friendly place to care for the dogs, hike, and meet travellers

At first I wanted to stay two weeks but then I ended up staying almost two months. That says already a lot. :) If you want to come to the shelter be prepared to really work. Most of us it takes 2-3 days to get really comfortable, at the beginning you get many information about the dogs. And it feels like you will never remember all, but you will. And there is always someone who is happy to help you if you aren't sure about something. And even it's not an easy work it's a amazing place and you will get paid with lots of love ❤️ And Jessica and Kishor are amazing people! I'll be back.

Came for 2 weeks, would have easily extend for one more week. Work can be hard (espacially the morning shifts as you have to clean all the cages) but the love the dogs give you will make you forget everything :)

Fue una experiencia única desde que llegué al hotel me recibieron con amabilidad Mick , Callie y Jessica. Me sentí cómodo, el lugar es muy acogedor. Desde el inicio interactúe con los demás voluntarios donde compartí diferentes anécdotas. Todos fueron muy amables. La verdad me sentí como en casa. Luego lo más importante fue conocer el albergue de perritos donde pude ayudar en las tareas encomendadas. La mejor parte era pasear a los perritos en medio de la naturaleza. Mis perros favoritos son Chato, Chela, Montana, María, Maya, Lola, Lucy, Beethoven y Cumbia. Recomiendo a todos venir aquí.

Jessica is a warm and gentle soul. She made me feel welcome from the very start, as too Keesha and Michael. The work can be challenging but it is rewarding.

Es una experiencia mágica y muy gratificante, la labor es de admirar y agradecer, es increíble la ayuda que el refugio ofrece a cientos de perritos y a la comunidad. Nos sentimos muy afortunados de poder haber hecho parte de este maravilloso lugar. Nos enamoramos de cada perrito, son perfectos, nos vamos recargados de amor.
