I felt like when I used to live with my family. The work don't look like a work, was so good to stay around all the horses/dogs/cats that was a pleasure to wake up everyday and do the tasks. All of the family members and also the horses owners are so gentles and lovelies, that help the volunteers since the beginning to felt like in home. The working hours and times are well defined, the tasks are always supervised and all queries are always well explained. I will surely remember forever the time I was there

Was amazing! Terry is lovely and Andrew is a angel and a master in the kitchen (if I fated his the guilty certainly is Andrew).I room was welcoming and warm, I was super at ease it felt like I was home! The work is easy, take care de horses. Guarantee your food on time, clean the fields and check the water two times to day. If you have time paint the stables. The important here is take care the pets like you would like to take care yours. If you like the animals like me, this is the place! I'd lovely stay more time but the city is very small and the transport is far and expend a long time

It was the first Worldpackers experience and it couldn't have been better. I loved learning about horses from Terri because she is a patient, generous and very special person. The place is fantastic and the care for the horses warms the heart. If you love horses and also love to share knowledge, this is the right place! I am grateful to Terri for opening the house to me, as I felt so welcomed. Thanks also to Andy for the delicious dinners and the many stories. Thanks to grandma Glória for her laughs and the incredible Christmas pudding. Being at Highgove House was like being in my own home. <3

Craven Arms has very little to offer for entertainment but there's a train station that can take you to many cute towns from around the area, nice hikes and all the way to bigger cities with a lot more to do if you have money to spare. There's a local grocery with good pricings and mostly anything you need. The job is very straightforward and not too demanding. I highly recommend to listen carefully to the instructions, get into a good pace and do your best. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly with lots of information to learn from. Millions of thanks Terri, Andy and Family 🐴🐱🐶

It was an amazing experience, in a few words it's the best place to have your worldpackers experience and feel at home at the same time. Terri and her family were always kind and attentive, the work is easy, requires a bit of physical work but can serve as exercise of the day haha, we learned a lot about the horses and their care, super comfortable room with TV, the most delicious dinners in the world! We will always be grateful to them!

Amazing experience. We feel at home immediately. We were able to learn a lot about the horses, Terri answers any questions and is very patient. Living with the horses, cats and dogs every day was very nice. Simple physical work and outdoors. The family welcomed us like old friends. Every day the dinner was delicious and the conversations very pleasant. The house is cozy and comfortable. Craven Arms is well connected, the station is 15 minutes from the house (walking). There are bars, supermarkets, public paths, etc.

The home was a great first experience with Worldpackers. You get Terri and Andy as welcoming hosts, an insight in the English culture and straightforward job tasks. It has been a memorable experience to get to connect with horses. The location is quite rural, but thanks to the good train connections you're able to explore Shropshire with its beautiful hiking and cute towns as well as bigger cities in the country. Lots of thanks to the whole family!

Terry and his family are great and friendly. I was able to share with all the members of the family, learn about their traditions, food, their daily life and the love and responsibility for horses 😍🐎💜

Bad experience! Think twice before you leave your country and spend your money volunteering at this place: 1 The work with the horses carried out on the farm depends 100% on voluntary labor, but it seems that we are employees; 2. The hostess was disrespectful, she yelled wildly at my wife when putting a horse for a few minutes in the wrong stall; 3 My wife and I have been unfairly labeled "lazy", perhaps because we refuse to work overtime; 4 Working with horses poses a certain physical risk, as in certain situations they become dangerously agitated."
