It was our first volunteer experience with Worldpackers, and it truly couldn't have been more perfect. Terri, Andy and the family are very warm and caring. They were also very kind in adapting the meals to vegetarian versions (and the food was delicious!). The work is physical, but not at all difficult; plus, the working hours are very enjoyable, spending time with the horses and the other volunteers. We learned a lot about animal care and enjoyed being in nature. It was the most wonderful experience, and we definitely recommend it! We would happily return ♥️

This is a wonderful place to reset your mind and reconnect with nature. Terri, Andy, Gloria, Philly, and Chris are an amazing family who make you feel truly welcome. The food is absolutely delicious, the evenings are always warm and full of good conversations, and the horses… just incredible. Working with them is pure joy. I'm very grateful for this time. Volunteering here was one of the best decisions I've made.

Andy and Terri are truly good people: Terri is full of love, and Andy really cares about the volunteers, spending time talking with them and cooking excellent meals. The daily work consists of taking care of the horses; the working hours are always respected, and the tasks are not heavy. A unique and unforgettable experience, we would recommend it!

Terri and Andy are very lovely people. The hourses are so amazing and friendly. The landscapes are spectacular and we have lived 20 days in the most peaceful way. The working hours are respected and the task are the same every day, with specific time for start working. I'm vegetarian and I had zero problem there, they were very kind cooking for me the same meals but with vegetarian options. The only problem you will find going at the home is that after this exeperience you will desire to buy a hourse!

I actually decided after staying one night that this placement wasn't the best for me. Having communicated with Terri in advance that I had some doubts but wanted to try.. it turned out to be more than I could manage..

That was absolutely great experience i had in the UK! Once you come, you just part of the family, you have cozy private room or a camper van. You have dinner with everybody in this house at night. You have chance to make friends with other international volunteers and immerse yourself in local culture as well. You can take direct train to Manchester in the town. What else can you expect?

The volunteer is perfect. So many interesting people to talk with, the hosts, other volunteers, and the horses' owners. The tasks are easy, and you're probably going to spend less time doing them than it says on the profile. The horses are amazing and peaceful, won't be a problem if you're scared of them. And the food is so good, Andy cooks really well, and he is very attentive to what you can or like to eat. Terri is an amazing host, actually, everybody from the family is. You're going to feel part of the family. I'm proud and happy that I chose this volunteer.

Andy and Terry are amazing. They welcome you as if you have always been family and never fail to support you. They are simple people with good hearts and very high moral values. The work consists of looking after the horses, giving them hay, cleaning the stables and collecting their poo. They do this for four hours a day, the rest of the time is free. Andy is an exceptional and imaginative cook. What can I say, a truly unique experience.
