I‘ve had an amazing time in Mysen. Helene is a nice person with an open ear for any problems and the other volunteers made the time truly magical. The work was easy and consisted mostly of painting doors, windows or walls. Food is provided but depending on how many volunteers there are it can run thin, so you have to get creative or buy your own stuff.
The town is very small so there are not much things to do but with the other volunteers around you never get bored. You can get to Oslo by train in around an hour, which makes it easy to explore on days off.

if you wanna meet new people from all around the world this is a good place for it. the work is pretty easy, but not very versatile, i painted everyday, which got pretty boring. but helene is nice and if you aren't happy with your work you can just ask her and she will find something else for you to do. you have your own room that is pretty basic and most of the rooms only have curtains as doors. the house is very messy and dirty, not the rooms people sleep in though. helene's parents own a house in oslo, where you can stay on the weekends, which is wonderful.

I had a great time in Mysen. Work was light and flexible. The place is huge, a little chaotic but also lively. Helene was communicative, kind and so were others. Thank you for this opportunity.

Tuve una muy buena experiencia como voluntaria en Mysen. Helen es comprensiva y flexible con los horarios de trabajo lo que me permitió organizar bien mi tiempo y también disfrutar de los alrededores.
La familia de Helen es muy amable y nos permitieron alojarnos en su departamento en Oslo.
Conocí a otros voluntarios geniales y compartí muchas risas e inolvidables momentos que recordaré siempre .
Le agradezco a Helen la oportunidad para colaborar, aprender y al mismo tiempo disfrutar de una buena experiencia cultural.

the volunteering experience in mysen had everything I wanted and more.the town is beautiful,and the house looks like something out of a movie,truly stunning.the activities were super fun ,and the Helene ,the host,is amazing-friendly,cool,and very committed to her role.we made a great team,and she gave me the space to give my best,which allowed us to achieve many things together.the food was always fantastic,very diverse and plentiful;if something was missing,all you had to do was ask and Helene would provide it.for me , in was a complete experience,and i enjoyed every single day so much.
