Il Nosadillo

Because we are in the centre of Bologna, a great location close to the main square and grocery stores. We are a small and cosy hostel where it's very easy to meet the guests and feel at home.

Volunteering here is a great opportunity to excercise your creativity, share ideas and learn new things, including lots of nice recipe, we cook a lot here!

My name is Caterina, I'm from Bologna. I consider myself a nice and active person. My mission is to create a nice environment for all our guests and fix what is not working well, solve all the problems. We are a small hostel and I have only an employee, Sara, who also loves challenges and she mostly helps me with social media, our website, and some random manual tasks. Here the atmosphere is super informal and we are used to laugh a lot, cook and eat together with our volunteers.

my volunteer in il nosadillo was amazing!! the work was very simple and straightforward, the host (caterina) and everyone who worked there are very nice and friendly! the hostel is pretty close to the main square of the city, so going around was very easy and the night life is incredible!

overall, the environment of the hostel is amazing and i’d definitely recommend working in il nosadillo!

My time at Nosadillo was unfortunately short, only 15 days. But I would have liked to have stayed longer.
The staff (Sara and Caterina) are incredible people who are willing to help with whatever is needed.
The volunteers were a lot of fun and on some occasions we went out to some bars together which was a fantastic experience.
The work is very relaxed and fair, and the city is incredible. I had the opportunity to be in Bologna at the same time as the film festival so the city was incredible with films every day in the open air.
I really recommend this experience and I am glad I participat

I had a lovely time volunteering at Il Nosadillo. The hostel has a calm, cozy vibe that makes you feel at home, Caterina (owner) is in every detail.
It’s a good place if you enjoy a balance of social time and quiet moments, perfect for meeting people from all over the world and enjoying Bologna from a local perspective.
Tasks are clear and you can arrange your schedule with the other volunteer. Sara (receptionist) is also fantastic.

Increíble experiencia. Bologna es una ciudad que se puede recorrer a pie con mucha vida estudiantil y universidades que organizan eventos abiertos. El hostel es super tranquilo y tanto Sara como Caterina son super amables y me ayudaron a mejorar mi italiano! Sin dudas recomiendo.

Caterina and Sara(the receptionist:)) were very welcoming. The hours and tasks were the exactly what was told. Communication was easy and Caterina clearly wants the best for the hostel and is super open to new ideas :)
We could share the shifts as we wanted with the other volunteer (as long as one of us is doing the shift of course).
So as a short version, thank you for the great team and I had a lot of fun in here. Would recommend<3
