HI Bergen Hostel Montana

Bergen Hostel Montana has launched a social volunteer program where young outgoing, enthusiastic people can volunteer. The volunteer undertakes activities such as: hikes (many...), games, barbecue, cultural kitchen, fishing, sightseeing, coffee (lots of...) and cookies, waffle baking, music - all in the name of cultural exchange and bringing people together. If you and our guests have other splendid ideas, you just bring them on!

We are a truly international staff. The volunteeers can expect to be treated with respect - and fun which will make it beneficial for all of us. The volunteers are NOT undertaking work that are otherwise been done by paid staff (e.g. cleaning etc.). We always have at least two volunteers at the same time.

Volunteering at Montana Hostel, should be absolutely in your bucket list! It was really fun experience and I recommend this to anyone who likes being in social environment, hiking and being part of community events ! So much to do, many fun activities ( sauna, board games, karaoke, bonfire nights, signing and playing different instruments). Apply without any hesitation! Stuff was really friendly and polite, I already miss them

This was my first volunteer experience and I loved every moment of it! Bergen is a truly magical place, and the flexibility of the volunteer position really allows you to explore the area as you wish. I highly recommend this experience to anyone hoping to enjoy nature while also connecting socially.

i absolutely loved my time in Montana!
the accommodation and food provided are amazing and the hostel is beautiful, with a stunning view over Bergen! the staff members and other volunteers became a family and i enjoyed a lot my time with them!
the work doesn't feel like work, and being a social volunteer is the best way to explore the city and connect with other travellers.
i will forever cherish my time there, thank you for everything!
