The vibe of the local Khmer people is something I will never forget. It was my first Worldpackers experience and I am so happy to have it be this place. The host is pretty chill about most things, mutual respect goes a long way. The location is great, even better if you manage to rent a motor bike. The staff are always making sure the facilities are kept up to shape. Its such a nice experience once you get used to the lifestyle. Definitely plan on coming back during the high season when much more is going on.

Funky moon was super chill and the shifts were straight forward. You take food orders, drinks, serve them, keep the bar area clean and just have a good time. It was low season when I was there, but Day Ron made the time go by like a breeze. Super sweet manager that will always made you feel welcomed and appreciated. Lots of love to funky moon!

My time at Funky Moon was so special. I felt welcome immediately, and everyone who works here is so kind. The work is very relaxed, and gives you plenty of time to go and explore. This was my first Worldpackers experience, and I wouldn't change a thing. I learned so much about myself staying here, and a lot of that is thanks to Day Ron. He encouraged me to get out of my shell, and explore and meet new people. He has inspired me and my future travels, and I know he will have that impact on anyone who heads to the Funky Moon. I cannot recommend this experience enough.

Volunteering at Funky Moon was most definitely one of the best experiences I had since I left home. The job is really easy and leaves plenty of time to enjoy the town and the beautiful nature surrounding Kampot . The staff is amazing, everyone is really supportive and makes all the experience really enjoyable and fun. I’m so thankful for every moment and memory I created in a magical place that I’ll always consider as a second home.
