I spent three weeks here for my first volunteer experience, and everything was more than perfect. While I was there, business was slow, but even so, I never got bored. My colleagues and my manager, Mr. Hong, became people I will remember for the rest of my life, and I will try to visit again if I get the chance.
That being said, I don’t think this place is suitable for people who need a lot of social interaction. If things are slow, you need to be able to spend some time by yourself. However, it’s perfect for those who are looking for peace.

This place gave me a lot of peace, which was exactly what I was looking for. If you are looking for a party place, this is not the place for you.
Every person who works at the hostel was very kind to me. I just recommend having a bit of patience, as English is not their strong point and sometimes this can come across as if they don’t want to interact, but that’s not the case.
The food is really good, and without a doubt, if I return to Kampot, I hope to come back to Funky Moon.
The only observation,it would be great to have more clarity with the instructions for the task that needs to be done

The vibe of the local Khmer people is something I will never forget. It was my first Worldpackers experience and I am so happy to have it be this place. The host is pretty chill about most things, mutual respect goes a long way. The location is great, even better if you manage to rent a motor bike. The staff are always making sure the facilities are kept up to shape. Its such a nice experience once you get used to the lifestyle. Definitely plan on coming back during the high season when much more is going on.

Funky moon was super chill and the shifts were straight forward. You take food orders, drinks, serve them, keep the bar area clean and just have a good time. It was low season when I was there, but Day Ron made the time go by like a breeze. Super sweet manager that will always made you feel welcomed and appreciated. Lots of love to funky moon!
