It truly was a wonderful experience to volunteer at the eco hostel. Right off the bat it felt like coming home, Diletta, Gabriele, Vera and Mamita are all super great people who welcome you in right away. You get a room with 3 other volunteers away from the guests, breakfast and a 20eur lidl card for food. The tasks themselves were very relatively easy and simple to understand. The hostel itself is pretty small so it’s very chill and also makes it very easy to get to know the guests as well. All in all I couldn’t recommend more staying at the eco hostel. Can’t wait to come back, see you soon!

This turned out to be one of my favourite volunteering experiences ever! The hostel location is perfect, easily walkable to the city centre but not in the middle of the noise and chaos. Diletta is so fun and lovely and we had such a fabulous group of girls that really made my Catania experience! The work was super easy and you could chill out.
Note that the staff dorm is not the same as the guest dorms and could use some modernization; it’s pretty small with old bunk beds and no privacy curtains or windows so it got stuffy and when full was pretty tight.

This was my first ever volunteering experience and I couldn’t have chosen a better place than Eco hostel!!
Dile, Gabriele, Mamita and Vera are lovely people with such a big heart and they became a family away from home to me in such a short time.
The tasks in the hostel are very chill and easy to understand.
Moreover I really enjoyed the events planned in the hostel such as movie and pasta night. 🍝
In these two months I met people from all over the world and especially with the other volunteers I got extremely close!!
Grazie mille Eco hostel, I will cherish this experience forever!! 🫶

This was my first ever Worldpackers experience and I wouldn't have asked for anything better. My volunteering experience at Eco Hostel was amazing. Everyone was very kind and friendly. The second i arrived there they welcomed me with open arms. The tasks were pretty easy and you have a lot of free time(even during your shift). Whenever I had a question or a problem they would always help and be there for you. Since this was my first experience I didn't know what to expect but everyone there made it such a memorable experience. I loved it:))

Staying at Eco Hostel was a wonderful experience that I can recommend to everyone! ☀️ Together with the other volunteers, I had a lovely, relaxing time and felt welcome from the very first minute. Diletta, Gabriele and Vera make sure that everyone feels comfortable and try to accommodate requests regarding specific shifts. The hostel is very cosy with a huge common room, where you can spend lovely evenings. Catania is a lively, beautiful city with many bars and sights. I really enjoyed my stay here! Diletta, Vera and Gabriele - thank you a lot for making Catania my second home! Grazie mille ❤️
