This was an AMAZING experience! I planned to stay one month, but I stayed one month longer, until the graduation. I would recommend this experience to everyone. Some information: you work around 20 hours a week, but it varies. I have had weeks with 15 or weeks with more (voluntarily). They respect your free time. The only thing I didnt like about the schedule is that you might work 4 hours a day, but spread over the whole day, so not a lot of time for other activities. I loved the people. They made me feel home and showed me Barbosa. Thanks a lot Anthony, Nathaly, Andrea and all the others!!

The school is a perfect place for you that want to immerse yourself in the local community. Barbosa is an authentic small city with everything you need to have a good time. All the people I've met here only wanted me the best. Andrea and her family who run the school makes you feel at home from the first day, and drags you in as a part of their family. In the school you have plenty of responsibility and you can really do an impact if you want to. Santander is a beautiful place in Colombia. This volunteer opportunity is for you that want an authentic and unique experience in Colombia.

I had a wonderful time at the school! Everyone at the school is incredibly friendly. I can here with the goal of teaching English and improving my Spanish and was able to practice every day with my colleagues. If you have a similar goal, I highly recommend this experience! I also found it easy to take the bus to many nearby Pueblos and natural sites, I encourage you to do the same! PS the school has a new location and the housing they provide is an apartment about 1 block away, it is very convenient :)
