The Experience

Novembro é mágico em Chiang Mai! Durante dois dias, a cidade se transforma em um espetáculo de luzes com o Yi Peng e Loy Krathong, conhecido como Festival das Lanternas. Milhares de lanternas iluminam o céu e barquinhos com velas flutuam nos rios, criando um momento único de beleza e espiritualidade. Buscamos voluntários para ajudar turistas brasileiros e portugueses a viverem essa experiência inesquecível, acompanhando grupos com um guia local.

Se você está querendo aprender sobre a cultura local, budismo e o país, esse é o voluntariado certo pra você, é praticamente impossível sair do voluntariado sem se sentir como um local. Tive uma passagem muito feliz em Chiang Mai realizando os tours, interagindo com os guias, com os locais e turistas. Foi um voluntariado muito enriquecedor e levarei os conhecimentos adquiridos pra vida. khob khun ka :)

A parte positiva foi aprender sobre a história de Chiang Mai com diferentes guias. Porém, o voluntariado foi muito desgastante, com responsabilidades e carga de trabalho que se aproximam de um emprego não remunerado. Mesmo com alguns acordos prévios, a prática foi ainda mais intensa, incluindo lidar sozinha com clientes e problemas causados pela desorganização interna. Em alguns momentos, também me senti desrespeitada pela equipe. No geral, não considero que essa proposta possa ser chamada de voluntariado.
