I volunteered at SYI for four weeks and enjoyed every second at the organisation! The kids are absolutely amazing and Joshua was beyond helpful and welcoming! The house is really nice and Ruth is absolutely amazing I will miss her so much, she really made the experience 10/10 for me ❤️ I would highly recommend this experience if you're looking for a safe, beautiful, and amazing environment! Thank you so much for having me and teaching me so many life lessons ❤️

This was my first volunteer and I was full of fear and anguish, but from the moment I arrived I felt at home! I really recommend anyone who wanted to contribute to the organization to spend some time in the project, you will definitely feel loved, safe and happy. Not only the children but the community are extremely special ❤️

I went with my little sister. It was a very nice experience for both of us. They treated us great, from the first moment we felt like family. Being able to be part of such an important project is an incredible opportunity to get to know a culture. Thank you to all the volunteers for making our stay easier and safer.

I had the very great experience in the organization.When I arrived there Joshua was very friendly to guide me to the organization and explain me what are they working for.I was soooo surprised when I got in to the organization.There have lots of kids welcome me at the entrance gave me a beautiful flowers and raised the sign there have my name in it.🥹Organization have lots of different classes offer to boys and girls who are living in this area.ex,Computer Class.Those classes help them to learn the skills that can truly do in their life and change their life.I suggested to bring mosquito spray

Volunteering at the project was amazing! The team was so warm and welcoming as well as super accommodating and they really made us feeling like family. Seeing the children and being greeted with hugs everyday is unbeatable. We got to do so many amazing things within and community and would highly recommend this to anyone!

SYI is truly committed to impact the whole the project Slum. They have different programs to support the community (i.e. food program), they prepare children and teenagers for school, have several initiatives for elder people, to give them specific professional trainings. Everyone in the organization is all the time 100% committed to the cause, with new ideas every day. I was truly amazed by the amount of people present at the organization, all day, every day. Everyone welcomed me and supported me from te first day, accommodating my needs. A big THANKS to all, especially George, Joshua, Jane.

Joshua is an amazing person! I can highly recommend this experience. If it's your first time - you need to be aware of social differences and for this I highly recommend to take extra money or bring gifts as clothes that you want to give away because every help is needed/ welcomed ! I spend 2 Weeks and will come back - I want to help more because the people are just awesome. Joshua makes sure that everything is smoothly but the whole team of people are so friendly and loving. 🤝 DEFINITELY GO FOR IT 🫶🏼

The project is built up of some of the most amazing, genuine, caring people. We stayed for two weeks and definitely couldve stayed longer. Seeing the kids beaming with joy everyday was such a highlight. Our host mother was jane and we literally could not have asked for a better host. She was so loving, caring and welcoming. Joshua made everything so easy from the moment we applied to the project till we left. We cant recommend this project enough. They truly are making a beautiful imapct to the slums of the project and we will remember you all for the rest of our lives. Much love ❤️

Being part of this project was wonderful! Being in a Slum for the first time was one of the most challenging experiences! The organization really helps children and all members are helpful and always ready to help. My Host Family was always very kind and prepared my food, water for my bath and they were always kind! It's a project that I highly recommend. Thank you for everything!
